  • Hello, please, does anyone know if there is a plugin to encrypt JSON data ?.

    I have used the search engine but I have not found anything.

    My game will save information in JSON and I need to encrypt it so that the user can not alter it.

    If a hacker would gain access to Dev-tools, he could do way more than just edit global variables. While the Chromium-arg prevents direct access like pressing F12, Dev-tools are still available in the NW.js "SDK" build that Ashley ships. If you want to remove Dev-tools entirely, you could manually download and install "Normal" builds from NW.js IO.

    Generally speaking, since our assets (including runtime code) are always open for grabs using NW.js anyway, there is no point in investing a lot of time into security.

    You could try to use 3rd party global variable plugins or encryption/minification but if someone really wants to hack your game, that person will be able to hack it regardless of what types of security you're using (e.g. through hardware exploits).

  • Hello, I need to read an XML file (using the XML plugin) and with that information, create a TMX file of Tiled map editor.

    Can I do it with C2 ?.

    This would allow me to export the XML file from PyxelEdit and from that file create a TMX file and open it in Tiled.

    It makes sense what you say, I should think about it.

    The game does not require additional purchases, the contents are unlocked simply by playing and winning games.

    Selling the paid version outside of Steam, how would I sell the paid version if I do not put it on Steam? I have no idea about that.

  • Hi, I'm developing a one-vs-one videogame with multiplayer and local option. My idea for launch would be a version for Steam and another for web. The game has unlockable contents, in the web version the unlockable contents would cost 3 times more than the Steam version.

    Also the Steam version includes the soundtrack produced by me.

    The contents are unlocked by winning rounds, this will allow me to keep active users in the game because, as I said before, on the web they cost 3 times more effort but you will play for free. In the version of Steam the unlockable contents do not require so much effort. For example, to unlock a new level or character in the web version you will need to win 40 rounds, in the Steam version you only need to win 20.

    At first I think it's a good idea.

    Any suggestions? Has anyone done this before?

  • It seems to me that it is not possible.

    Select several events using CTRL + CLICK and then click on +/-

    But this only acts on an event despite having several selected.

    That option is only available for groups.

  • Hi, where can I see the games published on xbox one ?.

  • Just out of curiosity, check the frequency of the file auto-save and the size of your file.

    I say this because when the file starts to have a large size and the auto-save happens, C2 stops to save and prevents its use.

    Maybe this has something to do with it.

  • I do not understand those who say there are limitations in C2, because of their mode of events.

    So far I have not suffered any limitations and I am doing everything I want to do.

    I published a game on android 1 year ago, it has a lot of code and I did not feel limited at any time, I could always do what I wanted in one way or another.

    I currently have several projects started (although I'm only focused on one) and I repeat, I do not have any problems that limit me to do something due to the events, until now.

    What kind of limitations do they refer to?
