  • I read every bit I can about all of the methods including XDK. I'm mostly interested in performance and ease of export. Cocoon.io has been kicking my ass.

  • Any ideas on which one is better and why?

  • Yes - thanks!

  • I look forward to hearing from people who've run successful campaigns. I can share what I've learned:

    * Get feedback on your game before you open it for voting. This will help you address issues early on and not in the middle of voting.

    * NEVER react negatively to negative feedback or trolling. Most likely, some folks will say some VERY mean, sarcastic things but any kind of negative reaction will be met with 1000x more negativity. Your best thing is to simply ignore the cruelest comments. Trolls are just trying to get a rise out of you so they can tear you down afterwards.

    * Don't expect greenlight to be an effective way to market your game - you will need to get the word out before hand and during any way you can.

*The first couple of days are when you will get most of your traffic. Plan and act accordingly.

  • Thank you Ashley - I chose C2 some time ago to work on the games I've wanted to make and have never regretted that!

  • Thank you both for the input.

  • I often read that XDK is stable, clunky and kind of slow. Cocoon sounds like it's fast but sometimes has more issues (including the current pricing plan). I don't really have any idea how Phonegap and Ejecta perform compared to the others.

  • I'm wanting to hear from experienced users of multiple mobile export options. What is in your opinion currently the best and easiest for a game with few (or perhaps no) plugins? My focus is on performance. Also, is one better than the others for export to android or iOS? The main options I see mentioned are:

    Cocoon.io

    Intel XDK

    Phonegap

    Ejecta

    Thank you.

  • Maybe someone should start a thread on cocoon.io to share these pricing concerns. I also feel like $500 a project to remove the splash screen is too steep. Maybe a one time $500 fee for permanent removal on ALL projects would be OK.

Let's face it - C2 users will probably be some of their main customers and if no one is willing to pay their fees, they won't make any money at all. That isn't good for them either.
