  • Use a placeholder (invisible sprite) to keep the physics and your sprite as an image only.

  • Supported +1

This is a must, especially when you have concatenated events inside groups and having more than 200 events for complex behaviors.

If the search button, when cleaned, still on the last selected event, it should be amazing.

  • What a surprise to know Andre is my hometown fellow! We will be meeting to make some projects together soon =]

  • so my new game is Death from Above

Ok, this is what I made today the idea is the players airship can reflect bullets with the force field and if you're wondering the giant hand the train is carrying is foreshadowing the end level boss and no the train is not flying I have not made the bridge yet.

This is awesome! It remember me about Nausicaa, so nice (read the manga and watch the movie, it worth a try)! You're thinking in use sprite lamp or some type of shader? It deserve a good shader.

    Awesome pixel arts bro!

  • Ashley, you can move it to non-bugs. We where trying to check if the Player was overlapping a platform using the "pick object by overlapping point" for a custom and specific platform behavior, but the point being checked was set only 1 pixel bellow the player, so, increasing it solved the problem. This is the type of thing we didn't figured out in the first try.

Thank you for tanking time to check it.

  • TELLES0808 Hello ! I didn't really understand your question, but I'm gonna try to answer it anyway. So, I assume you were talking about the Sprite Lamp tool. Obviously no I'm not the creator or one of the creators of this tool, but I'm sure this was not your question's sense. Regardind the topic itself, I just bought the tool and then used a zombie sprite to generate a normal map, which offers the result featured in the first page of this thread. So it's not really my creation, more like the tool's one hehe.

Yeah no need to read 9 pages, don't worry. Actually, this topic was nothing but a suggestion for a real dynamic light system in Construct 2 or Construct 3, but finally made me write an entire tutorial about the various solutions already available to use this kind of lighting in our games using Construct 2. You should take a look at it, I talk about Sprite Lamp and Construct 2 in it (and globally anything anyone should knows about Normal Map, lighting configuration and Construct 2). The concept is always the same, the tool you're using does not really matter. You can find the PDF of the current version on the first page (I edited it) or directly here :

Once again, I'm still working on it, and english is not my mother tongue so if you find any mistakes or nonsenses, please let me know.

Oh, that's nice, thank you! I thought you was the creator because you talked with property about this issue.

I'll take a look at this tutorial. Thanks again.

  • LeuNoeleeste The sprite lamp is yours creation right?

I bought it on Kickstart and told you about Construct 2 in one of the first messages there, you may notice it watching back.

I never used my sprite lamp because of a vacation time from C2, but now I'm back and willing to use it.

There is any change to give us a topic called "Sprite Lamp Addon" where you can you put everything together for us start using your sprite lamp?

I know if I read the entire topic with its 9 pages fully with details I'll be able to use it, but this is a kind of stuff everybody wants avoid, specially when time is short.

By the way, thank you for taking time to come here and help us.

  • The object who you want to pin on need to be created first in the same event, or, you need to tag this object with something to know it's the right object.

  • Working on the poses behavior.

It's almost the basic finished. Now it need the digging, fighting, using weapons, ridding, swimming, diving and other poses.

  • You can setup individual time scale, and using family you can setup an entire group at once.

  • Using lerp you'll never achieve 90 degrees because lerp is an amortization feature. To avoid it, check something near to the desired and when triggered, change to the final position.

You can SET the angles of layout, gravity and anything else you want. I prefer this way instead of rotating while using lerp.

  • Hi all, I know this is an old thread, but wondered if I could post a jam on here? We’re running a game jam on itch.io called Finally Finish Something. It runs through all of January and is meant to be a sort of New Year’s Resolution game jam, the idea being to finish off a game that you’ve been stuck on for a long time, or something you missed the deadline for. We've got around 95 people joined at the moment, and link is below if anyone is interested:

    Finally Finished Something

Good to know. I'll take a time to read the full rules.

Edited: I'm in with Grandpa's Farm, my old and dusty game where you need to defeat some aliens and kick their butts off Our Galaxy =]
