  • Wow, I've got 74 users after only being on the chrome store for two days. If anyone from here has tried "Maze Manor Free" please rate it so I have some reviews there. Thanks.

  • Hey guys check out "Maze Manor Free" on the Google Chrome Store! This is the free version of "Maze Manor". The full version is available on the chrome web store, just do a search for "Maze Manor", or click on my signature.

Maze Manor was created and exported, start to finish in Construct 2.

  • These tutorials are exactly what I need, but they are for an older version of Xcode(4.0.1). The wording is all messed up, and I have barely used Xcode, so this is very confusing to follow. It would be awesome if someone from the C2 world wrote a better current tutorial(maybe just copy and paste theirs and then edit the old Xcode terms into the new Xcode terms). This is another great marketplace for C2 games that is easily adapted with the right tutorial.

I am assuming the version difference is what is causing the confusion, but the tutorial might also be a bit off.

example: Right-click Other Frameworks and select Add / Existing Frameworks... / Webkit.framework / Add. (this does not work)

example:On the same level as Frameworks, expand Resources by clicking the arrow icon. (there is no resources folder)

example: On the same level as Resources, expand Classes by clicking the arrow icon. (there is no Classes folder)

There's more but I stopped there, it's hard to follow when you get to far off track.

  • Thanks DiscoFish I will look into those links.

  • Thank Ashley, Hopefuly they will soon. This is a great market for C2, because like the chrome store(unlike mobiles) heavier games like mine will run fine.

Does anyone know the format for the Mac App Store(desktop). Is it IOS? If so would an appmobi/phonegap output to say an ipad format be a temp work around?

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • I understand all of that(the link is broken by the way). I'm not talking about for IOS devices. I'm talking about the new app store for macs. This is like the Chrome store, so I don't think they would use IOS apps. Maybe they do? On this store the apps run on your mac not on your phone. Here is a link Mac App Store

  • Does anyone know what is required to make an app for the mac app store? Can C2 make games for this market?

  • I believe it's called capitalism. If you don't like it don't buy it. If you need it buy it. Appmobi can charge whatever they want. They have a good product, be glad they charge so little for it. Why do all of you non-elitists think everything should be free or whatever price you think. You are the consumer in this case you can choose not to buy it, that is all. You do not get to tell Appmobi how much to charge for their product. Get over it, or make your own free version of Appmobi(good luck with that, LOL)

  • The whole X Y thing lost me. If you want to put more than 5 games on the marketplace through appmobi just pay more money. This seems like a simple solution. If you are just spamming crapps to the market and have no intent on making your money back, then simply make less games that are of higher quality. Another simple solution for you.

  • I think the limit is a good idea to keep things off the marketplace that don't belong there. A marketplace is a public gathering held for buying and selling merchandise. That's the definition not my opinion. The so called free games you found and love have ways of making money with in app ads or thing to buy in app(they are not free). Finding popular games with reviews is easy, but when there are millions of apps that are crap, most people don't look, they buy whatever is in the top list(which are all big developer games), large developers have money for ads so they can rise above the crap pile. Just because you go and read reviews before you pick your next free game to exploit, doesn't mean the people that small time developers need to buy there app do the same thing.

  • mammoth thanks. I'm not sure the max size chrome will take, but it is at least 17.1MB I think that was the largest version I had on there.

  • Ashley the upload size for chrome is higher than 10MB(my game hosted there is 16MB).

I don't mind paying more for more features, and yes this is pocket change for anyone doing this professionally. I would also like to add that those of you not doing this professionally have really cluttered up the market places, and I feel more costs should be charged for things like android($25), chrome($5), or IOS($99). I think that to be a developer it should cost at least $1,000 each. These market places are extremely cluttered at this point making it very difficult for small time developers to make money, while making it easy for big companies to dump tons of money on ads and still be a the top of this list(which is the only place that buyers will bother looking because of all the junk there). If you want to make games for fun don't put them on the market, host them somewhere free.

Ashley if you ever work out the whole mobile thing, do all of us small time developers a favor and make it cost more(maybe its only in the business edition).
