  • Thanks Ashley, I just installed Quicktime, and everything works great once again <img src="smileys/smiley4.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

I wish Safari would let us know of changes like this.

Yes, I agree Safari for Windows never did have very good audio quality, but I just got in the habit of testing, all my games on the 5 most used browsers IE, Firefox, Chrome, Opera, and Safari.

  • When audio is added to a game project with r97, and previewed in Safari for Windows browser I get this JavaScript error, and then a blank screen.

    <img src="http://i50.tinypic.com/afgavq.jpg" border="0" />

I get the same results previewing in Safari browser with an exported project.

When I remove the audio object the game runs perfect but no audio then.

This can be reproduced by previewing the Space Blaster game in your examples folder, or any game that uses the audio object, with the Safari for Windows browser.

  • ParCutz Nice job! I really like your game art, and your music fits the whole game very nicely. Did you make the music yourself?

One problem I found was there are a few places that I got trapped, and had to restart the game to get out. I would suggest testing it well, find all the places that you get stuck, and make something that will move your player to a checkpoint or something when this happens. Other than that good job, keep it up :)

Val Nice job also! Great graphics, keep up the good work :)

You guys should start your own thread's for your games. I think they would get more attention that way instead of getting lost in this thread.

  • It drops that low when there's only a single match of 3 skulls? Very weird. <img src="smileys/smiley5.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

No, I meant that it drops only 5fps on a single match 3.

    63fps - 5fps = 58fps.

I just tested your new version, and it seems to run faster. It runs a steady 63fps. A single match 3 runs between 57fps, and 59fps. A whole bunch of matches going on at the same time runs in the high 40's to low 50's. It never got below 48fps for me using Chrome. It is very playable. Needs sound though. <img src="smileys/smiley4.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

  • Hey, nice job PixelRebirth! For me with Chrome it runs a steady 63fps, and only drops about 5fps with a single match 3. But if I get a whole bunch of matches going on at the same time it drops to around 44fps.

  • Why don't you do a system restore with your computer to a date before yesterday when everything worked. Then just don't update your graphics card drivers until you get a response back from your vender saying that they fixed the issue.

  • Yep, the last few updates from Firefox did it to me too. Games that play 60fps in Chrome, and IE only play at 20fps in Firefox now. I was tolled it is because I have a crappy graphics card, and that I should complain to my graphics driver vendor. So I did many times, and got no response go figure.

Anyway, I'm saving for a nice, new, and powerful PC.

    > Having native export to Android and iOS is a big thing and $298 is not much for that.

    >

    nemo Actually that would cost $99 (Studio) + $199 (iOS) + $199 (Android) = $497.

    And don't forget + $99 (HTML5 export module) = $596

They quit making Game Maker HTML5 yesterday. So now if you just wanted to make HTML5 games with Game Maker it will cost you $200.

  • It works for me to. Nice job Schoening!

I think someone started a thread about something like this a few weeks ago but I can't seem to find it right now.

  • Click on the platform that you want to move. Then in your properties window under behaviors where it says Edit behaviors click add. When the new window opens click on add new, and give it the Sine behavior.

You might also want to give it the solid behavior while your there.

  • No idea how to tell if my vista OS is 32 bit...

For Windows 7, and Windows Vista:

    1. Open System by clicking the Start button, right-clicking Computer, and then clicking Properties.

    2. Under System, you can view the system type.

    For Windows XP:

    1. Click Start.

    2. Right-click My Computer, and then click Properties.

If you don't see "x64 Edition" listed, then you're running the 32-bit version of Windows XP.

If "x64 Edition" is listed under System, you're running the 64-bit version of Windows XP.

I moved your start page to its own layout, and gave it an event sheet of it's own. Also I clicked on your (New project) folder then set your (First Layout) to your (Start) layout in your project (Properties) window. This will make your start page appear when the game starts, and disappear forever when you click space.
