  • Great job :) Congratulations for the offical Steam release.

  • Great ideas, would be nice to seem them in C2.

Also, how about sound replacement? When I want to change a sound I have to add it again as a new one (or I'm missing something?).

  • You just brought up a topic that interested me from the beginning.

IMO it's better to have an engine run well on 1 platform rather than have a slowly updated, buggy one on all platforms.

There are emulators for the other OSs that makes possible to run Windows apps, like Wine for Linux.

I'll make some tests with it on a VBox Ubuntu 12.10 as soon as I have free time for it.

  • I hope it will export directly to .exe

  • Well, reinstalling the Windows solved my issue <img src="smileys/smiley1.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

  • I don't see why would you need Flash.. It's a dying technology, html5 is aiming to replace it.

kenli Just shared an interesting video about monetization, I recommend it too.

  • Well, I suppose I got question 2 and 3:

2: Basicly you can make any 2D games with C2, included a farm game.

3: I remember there were (or are) discussions on the forum about in-game purchases, have a look around.

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • I agree, it would be nice to be able to turn these off. For veteran developers it can be disturbing.

  • Ashley said it all. C2 is focusing on letting you make and control your game, they don't feature any ads/watermarks in the licensed products.

  • Before you misunderstand me: I already bought C2 as an early adopter (as you can see from my badge), and I think Scirra deserves every penny they get for this great software.

But from curiosity I did search the net for a pirated version and got rather suprised, because I couldn't find any. It is really interesting, and what could be a reason?

(I mean C2 wouldn't be hard to copy, you could use the license file and that's it - and that is the freedom that pleases a lot of users; once you buy it, it's yours and you can install it on offline PC's as well)

  • Thanks for the replies.
