Very nice execution!
Maybe it's just me, but those words seem really exotic and difficult to spell. Is that the intention? Because I'd feel I'd be able to get a much higher score if I actually knew the words.
I would agree that a performance profiler would be awesome. There are some conditions in C2 that let you know these values (estimated memory usage, and something related to CPU) but a full-featured system is likely impossible due to the nature of HTML5.
PC performance is so good nowadays that it's very likely you won't run into any performance problems. At the moment, the only thing that really slows down games is lots of shader use at high resolutions.
Ashley yeah, but what I'm asking is (and you may not know) how feasible it is for Node-webkit to add the ability to run on these machines. They have PC-like architecture so surely it couldn't be that hard.
Yeah, always avoid invisible objects when you can. You can do what you are after with just a bit of math ;)
Arima bring up an interesting point - how much work would it take for Node-webkit to run on the next-gen consoles?
Ashley have you contacted Node-Webkit about this?
I'll name rogerwang just in case he's still active here.
Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.
Yeah, this is great! It's not inconceivable that IE11 would be the tech behind it, and that means WebGL!
I just came across this article which hints at the possiblity of Windows 8 apps on the Xbox One - Apparently the Microsoft rep showed "A simple web app" running on the new Xbox.
This could be some interesting news for C2 developers!
Some people have managed pseudo-3D in construct. However, if you are going that far there's no point whatsoever to use C2. C2 is designed for 2D.
You really can't set vectors in the 8direction behavior? Wow, that seems like a huge hole.
krmlemre due to the way Physics works, this isn't possible. You'll have to set up your own system involving forces.
Something else to try - the Construct 2 IRC (Located Here) is very, very helpful. Most of my tough problems are solved there.
Any information on IE11 exclusivity to Windows 8.1? Is that just spectulation?
