  • Just always be sure to back up regularly. C2's auto backup system should also help if there's a corrupted project (the worst-case scenario and extremely rare).

  • I agree that this is probably the wrong section to post this, however I think there's nothing wrong with making a controversial game to raise awareness of important issues.

  • Niko clones are big business - just look at Candy Crush for instance. it's just a clone of Bejewled with a few small additions.

  • fassFlash is wrong, copyright infringement is still illegal even if you are not making any money. Just find a unique name - 'breakanoid' probably won't get you in trouble unless you get very popular.

  • It won't be less CPU taxing to display less decimals, it will just look neater.

  • Crowdfinding isn't the best option for you at the moment. Since it seems this is your first game, just make it! There's nothing stopping you. You need more experience and a LOT more to show than one graphic and a demo (which looks like it took a few hours to make) in order for anyone to even consider giving you money. What do you need the money for, anyway?

Make some games first, release them on game portals or for free. Only after that you may have the experience to begin asking for money.

  • hmm, I didn't notice it, but that's concerning. Are you sure you didn't make any tiny changes to your project between versions?

  • Not at the moment, no. Not sure if this is a browser limitation or a C2 limitation.

  • If you're not very familiar with arrays and data storage etc, perhaps you should start with something a little simpler. a tycoon/business type game is one of the hardest to make because there's so much math going on under the hood.

  • yeah, I also recieved 2 emails :P

  • you could try 'for each - ordered' by distance() ascending, with your other conditions to choose the specific instances. you'd break the loop the first time it runs to pick only the nearest instance.

  • You can actually use blend modes without needing your space background to be entirely black.

here's a quick example I made. The asteroids and shadow are all on the 'shadowing' layer (with 'force own texture' set 'on'), and the shadow has a blend mode of 'source atop'.
