  • I have a simple feature request - I'm sure some of you will agree this will be very useful.

At the moment, if I have a sound effect, and I want to replace it with an edited version, as you often need to, I need to go through all of these steps:

    1. Import new audio under different name

    2. Find all my audio actions and change them to play that one

    3. Delete old audio

    4. Rename new audio

I would really appreciate the option to replace an audio track - perhaps a right click option 'upload new version' or something.

This seems to me as something that would be fairly commonly needed, and the workaround is very labor intensive.

    What do you think?

  • It would help if you told us what type of game you plan to make. What are its most complex features?

Honestly, your friends probably think C2 is something like game maker. If that was the case, it would be terrible, but it's not. It is an amazing piece of software, and unless you want to do some crazy stuff, it is easily up to the challenge of your game.

    Also, HTML5 is the future.

  • It makes total sense for them to have a width limitation - it's simply the design of their webpage!

  • Have you absolutely tried updating your graphics card drivers?

  • Looks perfect to me in Chrome. Identical to your IE graphic. Must be a driver problem on your end.

  • If you upload the exported project, we can try it on our chrome and see if it's a chrome problem, or a problem with your drivers.

  • You really should just set the time scale to 0 to pause. It will make your life so much easier.

  • What I do, is this:

    half the y-velocity if:

    jump is released, and

    y-velocity < 0, and

    player is jumping.

Something along these lines should work fairly well.

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

  • Why would you give the player both 'bullet' and 'platformer'?

Other than that, the program is doing exactly what you tell it to. What you want it do, may be another matter ;)

If you could be a little more specific, that would be nice.

  • When you add a behavior to an object, all instances get that behavior. If you change a property, that only occurs for that one instance.

  • I've always wanted to make a generator like this. So much fun.

Anyway, to attempt this, you need to have a really solid knowledge of what an array is. This tutorial is excellent:

  • Be careful - if you added anything new you may corrupt your project by doing this.

(Can someone confirm? Is 'corrupt' the right word?)
