    Worked well on my HUAWEI U8950N-51 Andriod phone, Andriod ver 4.04.

    No freezing or slowdown. Well done.

  • I believe Kiyoshi may be correct, at first I had a "GLOBAL EVENT SHEET"

    which incorporated my keystrokes, which was included in my first Level

    event sheet.

    After the bad performance of the SHIFT KEY, I actually placed the Keystroke routines in the first level event sheet. That improved

    the SHIFT KEY response slightly.

    The more actions that you have happening on screen the more it

    slows the action of keys for sure.

    Tried changing things around but still no SHIFT response on every

    second or third keystroke.

    As the PLATFORM Object has this built in response, maybe this needs

    to be looked at ?.

  • Hi All,

    Could you test my game to see if the SHIFT & ARROW Keys are working

    ok.

    It might be my keyboard, when I try to move right and jump at the

    same time, sometimes it works, and other times the SHIFT Key does

    not jump the Player at all.

    This used to work well on early upgrades of Construct 2.

    I looked at "LOL Audio Player capx file. The Answer:

    AUDIO|Preload Level_1_2

    AUDIO|PLAY Level_1_2(tag"Music")

    AUDIO|SET "Music" looping

    To stop the Music : AUDIO|STOP "Music"

    Life's good again $$$$$

  • The capx file would have to be my whole game, and I would prefer not to at this stage, but it is really as simple as the above mentioned.

    I have made the exact same game in Game maker HTML5 with no problems

    with sound at all.

  • Just joking, but is driving me to drink.

    This music problem has been a problem from the start. The Audio

    object is fairly simple to understand, but once you start your

    music it is impossible to stop.

    I have two pieces of music joined together, after a couple of minutes

    the second piece of music fades in, if the player dies then "End"

    screen and game starts over. The problem is that the music starts

    with the first piece of music, but the second piece is still playing

    and superimposes over the first piece, Nothing will stop the second

    piece of music from playing, not "STOP" not "MUTED" Nothing stops

    the music, Nothing. I use Google Chrome as my Browser, and the music

    file is "ogg" also Win XP.

    I have also used Game Maker HTML5, and that programme has no problems

    at all with Music Files.

    HELP PLEASE.

  • Hi all,

    Could any member help me squash my jumping Kangaroo ?.

    I have tried MIU3's example(EnemieJumpKillSpawn) but is does not work in my game, as it sometimes deletes the enemy without the player jumping, could be my player.

    The Kangaroo's jump from a tree onto a platform, if my player jumps on them they are destroyed. I have it working, but as I hit "SHIFT" the Kangaroo's are destroyed if I touch them jumping up, but if I don't touch them jumping up when hit from above by my players feet they are destroyed.

    I want to stop them being destroyed as my player jumps up and accidentally touches them.

    I hope this makes sense. An example would be great.

    PLAYER| is overlapping Enemy|

    SYSTEM| platform is falling | Enemy Destroy

  • Hi jolgau,

    With scrolling, click on your Player Sprite, and on the far left of the Editor you will see 'EDIT BEHAVIORS' Click on Edit then on the plus

    button 'ADD', add Platform , ScrollTo and Wrap if you don't want your Player to go of the screen.

    I have two levels with background images each at 3066 x 767 pixels, plus

    a smaller Title and End background, all png files(thats all image types available at the moment).On my server it takes 45 seconds for a new load. Loading Construct 2's Space game it takes 35 seconds to load, new start.

    I don't know whether this is exceptable or not in gaming circles.

    If I could have used jpg files, I would have cut the background file sizes by two thirds, hoping for this file type soon.
