    Tom

Sadly, I'm waiting for the pay-pal-option as well. Any chance this gets done faster than 2 months? I'm guessing there's a lot of pay-pal users here.

    yeps, same here!

  • Looks amazing! great work, really looks up to date now total new feel for c3

    my notes:

-startpage width is jumping , maybe some responsive setting

-account icon menu is not correctly aligned (top right is good but not in the dropdown)

-default background could be set to a slight darker color, don't think anyone uses white backgrounds anyway, and you can set it

-still not a fan of the top taps, but mostly because they seem out of place there a better look would be the default buttonsshape , the colors are better now

-remote view and startpage could use an icon for making it look complete, looks empty now

-dropdown width is too small for many items, even with room to spare

-personally i feel the active color is too bright

  • Try Construct 3

  • okey as always after i post i find out new things

ctrl - move : duplicate container

shift- move: move constrained on axis: nice!

    notes:

-would be great to multi select containers > shift-click only selects parts

-using part of a container as single instance can become problematic for levelplacement

-selection groups could still be usefull if you want to group even larger chunks ( wood, stone > house > street > ... )

  • Ashley , other construct devs..

so the new wrap selection(where you can move entire container) was cool when i first saw it, but testing it now i find the behavior rather strange

lets say you have a container with 2 objects with wrap option, if you want to have more of these in the editor, you have to drag in seperate objects, which get coupled in the position you drag the object in the editor, to change that, you have to select the object in the objectlist (you cant from the object itself) , then set the option to "normal" , so you can move the seperate object, then set the option to wrap again

so then this becomes something that only is usefull for one container and do creation and placement in code, but why have this new selection option then?

possible solution would be to move the second object in correct position relative to the "parent" object or bring the entire container in when you put one

but if you want to use this feature for better/faster object placement, you cant use the objects as single instances or group with other instances,

so it becomes really confusing how this is to be used i think

what would be usefull is just regular grouping behavior at the editor level, where you can group and break the group on the selected instance with the wrap selection behavior and not working on the object type, this would be for better objectmanagement & placement, to create more, you could copy the group from the editor, this would become a new selection group with new instances

well the selection-grouping is something i like to put on the suggestion forum but wanted to ask about the current workflow with containers first

  • I also exclusivly work with pen and have the same issue

(chrome\browser) pen double clicking is not working well, slightly moving after first click will cancel double click, so you get what you mentioned

wacom pen have 2 extra btns, if you custom set one to double click it works perfect, the problem with that , is you have to connect this setting to a program which in this case is chrome instead of c3,

in chrome i use one for right click and one for browser back, so i would have to give up this functionality just to work with c3, double clicking is general useless in chrome

i think there could be alternative controls optimal for pen use , which i was planning to ask, but there are some things to consider, using right click instead of double might be an option

  • I hope in the future scirra creates a form to submit bugs from within the program connected to your personal account

    it would autocomplete

    -version data

    -browserdata

-pc info, this could be something you fill in into your account

-if its a bug that just happened it could be attached

    -screenshots

    ...

its probably possible to connect this data to the bug forum so its centralized

the same could then be done for the suggestion

  • i also find the android keyboard an immense flow breaker, it pushes the whole window, takes halve of the height, and is slow..

i think a customised keyboard could bring a much better tablet experience...

if found this rather cool project:

    https://mottie.github.io/Keyboard/

you can have different key-layouts, numpad only , custom themes, its much faster, compact ...

  • it might be the goal to have the biggest bug out before the gamejam, but when people start the gamejam and then all new features get opened, there will be a whole new chapter of bugs, which might be abit more aggrevative when trying to do a gamejam

suggestion, open up feature per feature until gamejam.. if the goal is to open everything anyway

  • i wish "someone" made a surface i7 with wacompen , a mobile 1060+ gpu, infinity touch display from dell and doesn't sound like a jetplane, i would finaly buy one,

for tablet i use a 10' lenovo tab2 <200$ and pretty happy about it, connection is sometimes iffy, .. will be interesting to see if i can do some c3 on it..

I completly agree, the way you presented this was is all wrong, the pricing and the webbased announcement should have come with featurelist and at least a demo of how it will work, would made a huge difference

The huge dissapointment is large part down to extremely long silence about anything c3, you would suspect if you finaly come out with a great announcement, it would be with something to show, a teaser, the new workflow, features etc.. anything... so coming out with just a short post was an extreme let down and on top of that you announce the two least popular things : subscription and a webbased app (going to a website-no installation)

    i was like..

  • i think they made changes to dropbox, which is pretty annoying for old links

You want news for construct 3?!

Drop down list in "initial animation" was

    confirmed for C3!!!
