Hey everyone! I finally finished and uploaded my entry! It was a lot of fun to make and C3 has matured a lot pretty quickly. Have a playthrough of Trimage over on Newgrounds

Trimage is a top-down or 3/4 view action game where you wield your character's three magical abilities in addition to three recharging sword strikes. Battle through three environments (plus a tutorial level!) to defeat all who oppose you. This game was developed solo and all audio and graphics are original. I hope you enjoy!

Back to where we were. The jam license expired 4 hours early. It seems Construct based it on London time while Newgrounds based it on EST. Apparently I won't get to enter after all.

The jam license just ended four hours before the end of the jam, so I guess that means I'm out. Would've loved to have finished this thing...

They said on Twitter it's a bug in the countdown. It's counting down to the start of the last day and not the end of the last day.

I second this! I simply can't submit of I don't have at least tonight to finish.

I would actually start with C2. You can import your project into C3 later but not the other way around. And, while I like C3 a lot, it's still missing some stuff and has some bugs that are getting ironed out. In the near future? I'm sure C3 will be the answer. Right now? C2.

Hello team, the access to the full features of construt3 for newgrounds game jam are already exhausted? Can not you use the gamejam theme any more now?

C3 says May 27th on startup. One more week!

Hi, this will be my first game jam and just had a question. One of the rules states "Your game must not contain unlicensed audio / music." Does this mean I can use any music I want? I know that doesn't sound right so I was just looking for some clarification.

This means the creator of any audio or music must have given you express permission to use their content. This could mean you paid for it for use in a project and to distribute it. No, buying a track on amazon or itunes doesn't count--that is a playback license, not a distribution or creative use license. This could also mean you got it from a free asset site that explicitly states you may use that content as part of your project. It could also mean you created all of your own audio assets.

So this means don't steal other people's work and represent it as your own unless they told you you could or that you could use it and give them proper credit.

Yes, in the layout settings for that layout (on the left side of the C2 editor), you need to set "Unbounded Scrolling" to Yes. Otherwise, it will keep the viewport within the boundaries of the layout.
