• Mr. Al Jack is mader of aewsome games.

• It looks really good indeed! Andy Mckee is also really good.

By the way, are you brazilian?

• Photoshop is good if you can pay for it, or if you dont mind pirating. So yeah we gotta use Gimp/P.Net no matter how good Photoshop is. Personally, i use Paint.NET, it has a clean interface and once you get used to the hotkeys, its a breeze. I might get hated on by saying this, but GIMP interface really scared me at first, i don't like floating windows everywhere, so i uninstalled it right away. I even downloaded some plugin that promised to keep all the windows together somehow, but it was still scary.

• Hi there! I did all the graphics of Boot Wizard with Graphics Gale, i think that for small pixel art it is the best one, and its free.

I'm also a lover of 8 bit graphics, and i use the same color palette of the NES for my graphics, you can easily find it on Google.

Some basic recommendations to do such kind of graphics on Construct, is to set the texture filter to point, and the text to aliased, using spritefont might be better though. Also, when working on movement inside the game itself, you should have separate objets for most moving objects, a detector and a sprite containing the graphics with animations, and you just set the sprite position to the same position of the detector, but rounded to a integer, this way you get the pixel perfect movement.

Hope i've helped! Looking foward to see some retro stuff from you!

• Hi there! I've had a few plays and i found it very interesting!

• Not impossible, took some time to get used, but i'm still gettin beaten
• No problems with it, but on a personal note, i'd love a 2x scale option if possible, i just like double pixels.
• Could be more responsive at faster speeds, or maybe limit the maximum speed. Right click braking would be convenient too i think.
• The clean graphics are very nice, keep them.

btw: why am i having so much trouble to post?

• Oh, i also see the font didn't work. It seems that SpriteFont is the way to go then, i'll put it on the to-do list right now.

And also thanks for the kind comments guys!

• That sure is inspired by SMB3! It was one of my favorite things in the game, but there was only a few levels where you could get the boot.

I feel the tutorial isn't very clear yet, and doesn't really reflect the intended gameplay, but i'll work on that.

PixelRebirth: i knew someone would comment about that name haha! I was planning to change it, but thinking of names is harder than i though, so i just put up the [working title] XD

Anyway, thanks for the feedback guys! Getting back to work!

• Hi there! This is a small demo i made up today because i need some feedback on this small game. I have some ideas to expand it, but if you have some more, say it! Oh and also tell me if something on the tutorial doesn't make sense, i'm not a native english speaker.

• Really good indeed! Too bad i suck at these games

Also plays good on my system, but i did not had the issue that zenox98 said

• Damn, it only took one action. I feel so dumb now.

Thanks alot!

• Well, it's been a few days trying to do this properly, but i got no idea on how to do it :s

I got a situation where you go down infinitely, bouncing on platforms, and i need a background to wrap around the screen, but following the player. Think of those space shooters, but im moving back and forth instead of going always in the same direction.

I've actually got it to work, by stretching a tiled background to the ScrollYBottom and using the scroll x rate things, but well, since the game is kinda infinite, the thing can get pretty huge. While this works, it's not really useful since i cant put stuff like particles and sprites on that layer, and even though it didn't happen yet, i expect things to explode when the tiled background reaches something like 9999999 heigh XD

Could someone give some ideas on this?

Thanks in advance!

I'll ask here so i dont have to make a new thread for a simple question: How do i make a infinite parallax? Like, the bg moves up and down slowly AND wraps around
