  • Ops, I searched for it but find nothing. Can someone erase this topic then, please?

    thanks zenox98!

  • Guys, I just found out about this. Have you ever hear about Three.js?

Acording to their site, "the aim of the project is to create a lightweight 3D engine with a very low level of complexity in other words, for dummies. The engine can render using <canvas>, <svg> and WebGL."

I know Construct is not aimed to 3D development, but this site shows some interesting features, expecially for third party devs.

    Hope you enjoy it =]

  • Many thanks to all that had played. And thanks for the kind words in this post!

One of the topics of the briefing was to merge the game into facebook's background. I guess your comment shows a little backfire on that aspect xD. I don't know if I'll be able to change that =/

Well, I'm too happy with the results of this project. The comments were quite nice, the access on Pank Design's facebook page skyrocketed (up to 400% more accesses) and this project opened a few new doors for me.

I'm a brazilian game developer and here is quite hard to make a living with games. Thank you Scirra for existing and Scirra's community for being so awesome and helpful. I'm too lucky to be on this community since Construct Classic and see all the amazing updates.

For me, every update is like a little christmas present.

  • Hello there,

This week I finished a game I was doing for the brazilian graphic design office Pank Design. The game is Pancho, el cacto atirador (Pancho, the shooting cactus), a lunch-time-sized mini-game.

    Pancho is Pank Design's mascot.

    <img src="http://a5.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash4/373923_311540438869777_125523024138187_1179971_1583034346_n.jpg" border="0">

Game in facebook. You don't have to be logged to play, only to share.

The game was done in 3 days, by only 2 people (me and Estev?o Sarcinelli).

    The goals are simple:

    • pop as many baloons as possible
    • the clock is the timer
    • panktone baloons give you points
    • poping the right panktone baloon will give you more points. The picked color is showed in the card above Pancho
    • white baloons are just nice to pop, but give no points
    • orange baloons rewards you with a few extra seconds

Don't forget to tell me what you think about the game! If you like, please share and help me keep doing this games <img src="smileys/smiley36.gif" border="0" align="middle">

    Hope you enjoy the game!

  • i'm having the same trouble. I made this test for practice.

I'm having trouble accessing back the score from facebook. Don't know if it's publishing correctly too.

I did Tom's Facebook Tutorial.. Followed Ashley's hint here too for the score's display.

    What's wrong here?

  • Try Construct 3

  • thx Zenox098

that's the sprite I told about. Don't know why it had no properties, but deleting it solved the problem.

I don't even know who I added it oO

  • Just solved it.

Seems like a sprite had it's image corrupted and I forgot to delete it. When I deleted it the game worked again like a charm.

I'll try to find something similar in the other project too.

    Thanks anyway!

  • Hello Scirra people,

I'm having a recorrent problem when updating C2 on the mid of projects.

I was in the middle of developing process. I was using r68, but the latest release (r69) came and I update c2. The update was done in this morning.

Then, when I tried to run the layout for tests, it didn't show. Instead it showed this message.

    <img src="http://dl.dropbox.com/u/7967934/Scirra%20Help/Screenshot1_1.GIF" border="0" />

It happened once before, when I updated from r65 to r66, again in the middle of another project.

Someone know what can I do to fix this? Shall I downgrade C2 to r68 while in the development of this project?

  • I just realised I never responded this post.

Thanks Kyatric! It's a lot of work but works well. In time, this will be much easier =]

  • Thanks Zenox98!

For this project this solution worked, but I have 2 other projects that don't. Sadly, one of them is not mine and the other I can't show (contract issues), but I'll try to reproduce the bug on another file that I can post here.

The curious part is that on my project I couldn't even see the loading screen. On yours I saw it. Then I switched back to mine, applied your changes and could see the loading screen again! Really odd...

For now, I'll pay a lot more attention to my splashscreens xD

    Thanks again =]

I searched the foruns for similar problems, but found none solution that solved mine in particular. If I missed a topic, please direct me to it.</font>

This is not the first time it happens. We did another project that had the same problem. I don't think I can post that one though =/

  • Hello scirra community,

I'm doing a game with my team, but we are having a hard time importing layouts from each other's pcs. Why split the work between people, so one got level design and other got into the programming stuff. Now we have 2 layouts (one with the level, the other with the code) and we are having a hard time turning both into one layout.

We saved both projects as "project folders" (for collaborative development).

Is there something we're missing here?
