  • Thanks, just wondering is it possible to have multiple leaderboards, what I'm after is global, local and friends (facebook). Is this somthing that Clay.io can pull off?

  • Hi - I don't understand this line in the Clay.io documentation:

    Set "Init Function" to: clay_init('GAMEKEY')

  • Looks really cool firebelly

  • Try Construct 3

  • haha it's not that, this way is just better design I think from re-evaluating the problem. It's simpler, which is often better in my experience.

  • THanks for the suggestions - I've actually decided it's too complex so have given the objects two states, normal where it ignores collision and active, active state is for when in zero gravity.

    Thanks guys

  • Hi all - I'm making a platformer and it's made entirely out of physics. I have a bunch of background objects which I want the player to be able to run through while at the same time be able to jump ontop of - is there a way to check if the player is above an object and to enable disable collisions accordingly?

One potential problem is that the objects can be rotated freely, so the 'top' of the object might change.

All the background objects are part of the same sprite - I've tried a few things with for each and pick all and I just can't work it out.

My character is set up so that it has a physics base wheel and body and also a 'ground detector'

I've made a little video showing where it is at currently: [TUBE]yOPZsBr84Us[/TUBE]

    Best,

  • Yeah good work, really nice graphics and fun game - do you not think C2 is able to make the game post-prototype?

  • Thanks man, yeah there's nothing really new about it - it's just pure score attack, the 'hook' is that both modes are endless and it is constantly cycling between about 5 or 6 attack modes but with the speed constantly increasing with each 100 kills.

But whatever, I've not tried making an arena shooter before, it has been fun.

  • Little thing I've been working on this week, just got to add audio and art and I'll put it up on the Arcade.

Might look at that clay.io for a leaderboard solution actually.

  • ah cool just curious :)

  • Pode - what is the audio plus plugin if you don't mind me asking?

Thanks man, hopefully the bumbling Chef adds character to the game!

Also I checked out some of your gameplay/proof-of-concept videos, the pixel art is awesome but your sound production is INCREDIBLE!! Games need this level of sound quality to fully immerse the gamer, that's what really sells it.

Cheers, my buddy is doing the art for Orbit, his name is Tyler Barber - so far the stuff in the videos is quite a bit behind where it's looking now and I'm really impressed with his work.

Thanks for the audio compliment man! Again it's mostly a sketch the game will probably sound very different by the time it comes out haha.
