    YOU ROCK!!!

  • First of all, sweet game, and I instantly recognized the style to be yours.

So I'm playing , all of a sudden I meet the wasps without wings, and start getting hit. To my surprise my 360 controller which is lying on the floor just starts rattling around. Oh hey, he added gamepad support! I pick it up, start spraying around and aiming, press every button and combination imaginable but DAMMIT I CAN'T MOVE OR JUMP! I assume this was all part of the "deception" theme.

Good idea and well executed for 2 days. Construct is the best tool for 2 day game compos.

Haha, same thing happened to me, only my controller was sat on the desk. wood desk + sudden vibrating controller = jump a couple of inches into the air from shock.

  • Still loling

  • I don't know who that is.

  • Welcome back! and fun game, been playing on and off since you first posted the links. Gonna make it into a full one one day?

  • > Yeah, adding a wiki page sounds like a good idea.

Me? Or does some one want to do that.

Don't you need to be granted given permission to start authoring on Wiki?

You sign up and that's it. It's the foundation of what a wiki is, anyone can make a page or change something or add something new.

    Example:

You make a page about this and link it to the correct places on the wiki. Someone else notices you made a typo, they fix that. Someone else adds a new link you forgot about. You fix a typo you noticed, and add another link. Someone cleans up the formatting. So on and so forth.

Edit: You should also mention the versions of these plugins too and make sure your links point to the latest versions.

  • Why don't you put this on the wiki like kayin suggested? Where others can add to it and it will ultimately be more useful to more folk.

  • Awesome!!

  • Just tick the "Destroy on startup" attribute on any objects you don't want hanging around at startup. You will still be able to create other instances of them no problem.

It might seem ccluttered having things hanging around in the layout like that, but they have to exist somewhere. Perhaps in C2 there can be an "Object library" or something that you can store objects in and just pull them out as needed, instead of sticking everything in the layout (I am feature requesting this )

Cluttering the layout box means objects sitting there inside the white part, when they can just as easily sit outside it as there is NO distinction between white layout box and gray layout void beyond the use of kill outside layout commands (you can confirm that with the devs, I checked). Cluttering is the correct term used in development for anything within a player area that isn't required at that point in time (such as storage, as many games, even recent ones, use storage rather than load when needed), in the early days, space was at a premium so clutter was kept in small area's the player couldn't access (often seen in games such as Doom, unconnected black boxes containing a couple of enemies, would also result in enemy noises being heard at strange times). In layouts case they can be kept outside in the void as space is unlimited (without getting into the 32bit precision issue the further out you go from zero point, because it's too early and I'm still on my first coffee).

  • Yes to both.

The layout itself is just an easy way to visualize things inside a box so to speak, and handy for removing unwanted stuff that go outside of it (if you choose to) but otherwise it's no different to area's beyond its boundaries, and unless you tell it to kill them if they go outside, you can use the space to store things you need, without them cluttering up the layout box itself.

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

  • Well done, nice work!

  • > but they seem to stay in my outbox instead of being sent I dont know what happened there.

    >

This same thing is happening to me. I can't PM anyone. It just stays in the outbox, but isn't marked "sent".

It stays that way until it's been read by the other party. So if it remains in your outbox, it's because they've not read it. Which may be to do with the fact that the PM counter at the top will reset to 0 the second you refresh or change the page after it displays how many PM's you have. So many might not even know they have them unless they have email reminders set.
