  • in my current project, I'm going to need to do the same sequence of find/replace on text over and over throughout the development project. Is there a program that allows you to automate this? it would be extremely useful right about now.

lucid, I think, that JGsoft PowerGREP is what you are looking for. You may also try this - Funduc Search and Replace. Sorry, both are shareware. I believe, that there is a freeware program somewhere, but I don't know exactly.

    Suppose, it will help you.

  • Sorry, I didn't mean to ask that in an aggressive manner, it just seemed weird that you were asking all those questions. What would you think if someone asked you the same questions?

What would I think if... It's not a secret, my parents like a singer Yaroslav Evdokimov, that's why I'm Yaraslau (Yaroslav in Russian - Yaraslau in Belarusian).

I just wanted to know why you were interested in my name.

As you wrote before - "First two letters of my name and surname combined". Well, maybe, due to my work. Imagine, I have to read a book and understand all factors, that can/could/would/did... influence on writing that book in such a manner. You need dig more and more to find out full info. And then you must explain - why that author couldn't write from the different point of view. What factors were the most important and why? What the author knew and why the author didn't write about that... A lot of such questions must be asked and must be answered... Work looks like a scientific detective.

I read your statement (see above) and try to find Slovenian names. Some kind of scientific research... The rest is known.

By the way, nice avatar. But your avatar in not the reason.

  • The first one. Why? Are you stalking me?

In English stalking is associated with crime. I'm not stalking you. The answer to question "why" will be a bit large.

    • many years ago my father was in Yugoslavia. And he was very impressed by that country, people, nature and atmosphere there in general.
    • Slovenia was a part of Yugoslavia
    • Slovenian and Belarusian people are both belongs to Slavs (the South and the East Slavs). Although Oxford Advanced Learner's Dictionary doesn't include Slovenian people in definition "Slav" (Oxford researchers are obviously wrong in their estimations).
    • the history of Yugoslavia is a very vivid, bright example on what was right, what was wrong and what was questionable. Some kind of the history lessons.

Don't think, that my interest was annoying. Slavs should live in peace and know the history of Slavs countries. This forum for entertainment and I don't want to break the rules. So I won't be asking more... Thank you for your reply, Mipey.

  • Miha. Slovenian.

Hmm, my memory needs updating. I forgot, that you are from Slovenia. Sorry.

Miha (Slovenian) - Mihail (Russian, Belarusian). Similar names.

Miha or Miha - where is the accent?

  • First two letters of my name and surname combined. The Y is just a remnant from the 'cool teens', but Mipe is a common nickname around here. *shrug*

Two Slovak male names: Milan and Miko (like Michael). Right? What is your name, Mipey?

  • I used many different nicknames for different forums - Kenshin (samurai from Japanase anime), kodama, Asanuma (inspired by some historical events from Japanese history). Pretty nice nicknames for a teenager, but now I use mainly Yaraslau. It's just my name and nothing more, but it can be easily pronounced by English and non-English speaking people. As simple as that.

...and one more reason to use Yaraslau as a nickname. I ckecked "Yaraslau" and received a very good result. It means, that for my native language (the Belarusian language) and for the Russian language name "Yaraslau" has a very positive meaning. - http://analizfamilii.ru/pham.php?pham=% ... B%E0%2A%E2

Very well-written text about CG and creation of Avatar. In Russian. English speaking users can look at photos (self-explaining).

  • No but if you make one then we can all know about another one...hope this helps.

I can't develop something like City Racing. But I'm really impressed. This free game is for a guru of pure driving (no need to take care about petrol etc.). Construct, unfortunately, isn't suitable for car racing (maybe, I'm too lazy) and bugs... That was aired before in forum.

So my question is still open to answer.

  • Hi!

Does anybody know about more free games, developed with the Physics Bullet Engine? Except ATV Quadro Racing and City Racing.

    Thanks!

  • Komdour,

I wish you good luck! I like both chess and checkers, so waiting for your game release.

P.S. http://www.softella.com/gamux/index.en.htm - extremely small chess and checkers game in one shell. Will you beat that?
