  • Ahh.. I want to be a time traveler just to use Construct 2.0

    Every new build = 1 month or so, the way from 0.99.5 up to 1.00 may cost almost half a year. Then...from 1.00 to 2.00 may cost the whole life...

  • Well, it will be the hell... Almost small poem.

    No movie, but graphic tutorial.

    Step 1. Download this program (should pay ~ 500 euros for it). Joke, it's free.

    <img src="http://i27.tinypic.com/r05l4o.jpg">

    Step 2. Open relevant progs or games in it. You should see something like this. Select Icon Group, then MAINICON. Like I did:

    <img src="http://i28.tinypic.com/10r2suw.jpg">

    Step 3. Do this step, please.

    <img src="http://i29.tinypic.com/30d8jlk.jpg">

    Step 4. Select "open file with icon", select an .ico file -> press ok -> press replace.

    <img src="http://i26.tinypic.com/2dh91lx.jpg">

    Step 5. Everything should be o'kay.

    <img src="http://i27.tinypic.com/izm0et.jpg">

    Step 6 (the last step to simple cracking ). Save it.

    P.S. I can't still replace the icon inside window during gaming, but working under investigation. Thank you for your attention!

  • Try Construct 3

    Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

    Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • I'm currently building an automation application, and for that purpose it is pretty much necessary that I can use the program via command line, basically by doing something like this:

    application.exe -i input -o output[/code:2xlzfwyi]
    However, no kind of functionality exists to read commandline switches, which is why I request this could be implemented in some form.

    Maybe, AutoIt can help?

  • blankedt, well...it works. ) - it can move back after one key pressing - with the same speed. I supposed, that built-in behaviors of moving back and moving forward should be similar or the same. In Construct - no. Why??? Is this bug?

  • lucid, thanks, but I know about a project bar.

    What I would like to see in detail:

    • the possibility to organize objects in folders (as it done in a Project Bar) OR dragging objects from a Project Bar.
  • Can I change the icon in the construct? (Which is in the window)

    Thank you!

    If you would like to change the icon of the prog or game, created by Contruct - it's possible. Do you want the movie, showing this?

  • lucid, thank you for nice words!

    In fact I don't like wiki, .cap file is much better. It looks like...plug-and-play. Change one parameter in code - receive new behavior or effect. The real visual help, like direct interaction between a techer and a student.

    One more question. My project will require a lot of objects. As far as I know, Construct show all objects (in "Objects" tab) without any folders. So 10 objects can be easily used, 50 - can be also, what about 100, 150, 200... Is there possibility to create several folders for different objects?

    I checked several .cap's - no any folders. So...it's impossible?

  • > blankedt, would you mind writing the tutorial? I have the same problem with car behavior, but still have lack in knowledge. So...any tutorial would be great and helpful (even in the form of simple text).

    >

    Do you want a tutorial on how to get the car to stop when it hits something?

    Better two things: how to stop while hitting something and how to lower bouncing.

    By the way, can anybody explain a strange behavior in car movement. I have a sprite named "Mycar", it has "car behavior" movement, no any coding. The result - the car can move back repeatedly even after one press-and-release of a key, assigned to a back movement. Compare with moving forward: press key - moving, release key - lowering speed and finally stop. Repeat again - no any additional coding was done by me! It's abnormal!!!

  • ...something strange with my attention. You are right, linkman2004, you are absolutely right! Thank you!

    P.S. maybe, it's better to ask in pm to avoid stupid questions? Thank you all, it's a great pleasure to see your polite helpful advices...

  • lucid, thanks a lot! Ctrl+Wheel really help.

    One more question. There is an option - "toggle grid". But the distance between points always remains the same. Can this be tuned?

  • blankedt, would you mind writing the tutorial? I have the same problem with car behavior, but still have lack in knowledge. So...any tutorial would be great and helpful (even in the form of simple text).

  • Hi!

    Would it be possible to implement Zoom-in / Zoom-out in Layout Editor? (like in Construct Picture Editor)

    I need this, because my project has big size and I wouldn't like to use several small layouts as well. Can this be done in nearest future?

    Thanks!
