    One thing, if you overwrite images in project folder they do not update on layout editor, but they do update in image editor. So you need to double click on sprite and in image editor reload all files manually - or faster way is to close and reopen C2 entirely.

  • It's the only way with tilemaps. Tilemaps can't be solid for particular cells. It's either entire solid object or not.

    And LittleStains suggestions is the simplest one, make one tilemap for your background arts, and other one only for collision tests.

  • I don't think current version of Spriter is "pixel-art" friendly. lucid said some time ago that this feature is on his todo list.

    5 mb's on one object is quite a lot actually. But it's still only tiledbg - only on this you can set different images to different instances, so no collision mask, no image points, crop etc. And loading an image which is in 50% transparent is still waste of memory - transparent background takes more than solid color fill.

    But I do see, this can be useful for some background stuff... I just remembered how much I miss "Load image from URL" in Tilemap object :/

  • Expression "angle(x1, y1, x2, y2)" will calculate angle between two points. Is that what you asked?

  • But what's the real difference between using this and normal sprite frame animations?

  • Good work, this has improved a lot since I last tried it in february! Now my main issue is performance, which is not yet on par with CocoonJS. I suspect this might be an issue with Chrome rather than XDK though, as I have the same lag when running it in the Chrome mobile browser (which I don't have in the same project in CocoonJS on my Samsung Galaxy S3).

    That might be a true. I didn't think about that but I've noticed about 10-15 fps drop on some of my projects. It used to be 55-60 now it's 40-50 either with canvas 2d or webgl on my Galaxy S3

  • yeah. I wouldn't touch tiledbg or sprite either. Just make it as a separate object for users to use if they really need it.

    Hey, You will get 3 objects that do 3 different things to choose from instead of one uber object.

    And like always if one thing can do everything than it probably can do nothing xD
