  • Do you mean when an object is added?

Normally, the user can change settings over in the properties bar.

That would be the usual place for notifications as well.

  • Eeek, this has quite a few problems that need to be worked out. I mean suppose someone gets the go ahead to be able to use a server, then that person releases a cap file.....

  • I cant seem to reproduce it now, I will say I had the control set to move to mouse x,y.

Edit: Also a suggestion, it would be nice if the actions showed on the editor what sprites were connected.

  • That brings up another question.

How do you make a plug closed source?

  • There is one more advantage to having a dedicated server.

If you were to make a plugin that the user could point anywhere, there is a possibility that it could be misused, even abused, and for an open source project, that is a big no no.

The question is, how to find a host, and how to make the plugin so it cant blow up the server.

  • Nice!

One thing I notice, if the control sprite overlaps the other two, they disappear.

  • Currently there is no specific way to do this, hopefully sometime in the future someone might develop a behavior, or object for this.

In the mean time, there is no reason why you cant develop your own out of things like the box object, and the text object. These are the easiest, and quickest ways to create something like a dialog box.

  • I know you could do this with the timeline object, I tried a bit but couldn't get it to work exactly.

  • Does frame rate effect it?

    edit: yes it does

  • How about making the games you want to play, your pretty much guaranteed that at least someone will like it.

Screw conformity, screw formulaic design, the context of your presence suggests that's not what you want any way.

thomasmahler, you said games are not entirely regarded as an art form yet, but it is none the less, and as an artist, you should ask yourself "who do I create art for". When you who that is then you will know who you want to make games for.
