Welcome to the forums.

First off you want dirctex turned on, that option is there for people who want to make applications instead of games.

Chances are that even though you have DirectX 9, you probably don't have the most current version.

Windows does not update that automatically.

You easiest fix right now is to run the installer again, and say yes to any windows that pop up... although the dx9 window gets hidden sometimes.

If that still doesn't fix it then you might try updating your video drivers, and make sure they can at least handle level 1 shaders.

You can do this already via distortmaps.

Here's a little example using the perlin noise plug.

Its not perfect, we need a tile function for image manipulator for that.

The formula for U, and V that works for me... thus far is:

Lerp(0, tilemapsize, loopindex*0.17)

Note: Your image needs to be power of two.....

Might make up a simpler one later with just regular textures.

Can you see? OpenGL (up to newest) WORKS on Windows XP, but DirectX 10 and 11 doesn't work!

And probably never will.

Any way to use Sprite[1] with regular events?

Its sooo much easier to pick from multiple instances... when you have them indexed like that.
