  • I'm hoping this gets ported soon myself, but alas I have no knowledge of Visual C.

I was thinking it might help a bit if you could tell us all what would be needed to make a plug.

Like are you wanting the plug to import all data during runtime, or would it have all images imported as sprites beforehand?

I know the tool outputs everything to an xml, and images to a folder, but Construct is not set up to create completely new objects, so there has to be either a dummy to load to, or a way to simplify the rigging set up.

Not sure a plug can do that easily.

  • You can apply FX to text, and there's always the poor mans drop shadow for text, a duplicate of the text offset and with less opacity.

  • but the graphics quality is improving.

  • Thanks guys, but I really wasn't going for using momentum, although quasi's link does make me want to try a few experiments.

I was actually going for a jetpack kinda thing, so the only time that would work is when your not trying to swing.

  • [quote:ph5wmd34]Function object. It executes AFTER the tick, as far as I know.

    This^

Sounds like your doing some animation?

Might want to use some time scale as well there.

  • Meh, just add an RSS feed. Its just XML, and that would give a few of us a reason to make a feedreader with Construct.

  • [quote:3kb1o9s0]Also, Davo made a picture of a slightly weird looking halloween cake to celebrate, help yourself to a slice :

    Looks like someone already did.

Grats guys you are the best!

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

  • Experimenting with this a little bit, and I was wondering.....

Is there a way to tell what values are generated in the array?

Basically I need to know what constitutes a room, a wall, etc.

  • Hmm that's more of a speed/ linear type.

    Love the retro-ness tho.

  • This is a little grapple/ platform engine I've put together.

I was wondering if anyone has seen something like it.

    Objective... get to the top?

Controls: normal platform plus space for toggle grapple, and left/ right arrow to swing.

Please forgive the placeholder sprites. I'm still debating on what style to use.

Really leaning to a silhouette kinda thing.

Any opinions on that as well I guess.

  • You could do that probably, but gravity direction might be an issue.

  • Custom movement behavior perhaps?

    Change speed towards direction.

Set for a timed boost, and add, or accelerate for on collision.
