  • clamp(lerp(Door.X, Player.ImagePointX("door_open"), 1 - 0.008^TimeDelta),min,max)

    clamp(lerp(Door.Y, Player.ImagePointY("door_open"), 1 - 0.008^TimeDelta),min,max)

Should keep it within the general area, but keep in mind order matters, so that action should be last on the event.

Also there will be a lot of "play" if the object is rotating, so you might want to keep the lerp to a single axis. Since its a door and all.

  • [quote:2k4zhxpv]lerp(Door.X, Player.ImagePointX("door_open"), 1 - 0.008^TimeDelta)

    lerp(Door.Y, Player.ImagePointY("door_open"), 1 - 0.008^TimeDelta)

That looks right. You might check your image points in the image editor, and make an event that sets its angle to the base objects angle.

Also 1-0.008 is pretty slow, might bump that up a bit.

  • If you didn't click on the object to get the expression in the event editor, you will need to reference the object like so: math.anglelerp(a,b,t)

  • While there is such a thing as being overly cautious, there is nothing wrong with expecting well defined logical rules.

Also this is an open forum, and while your free to glean some knowledge, as well as return the favor, others have no intention to do anything other than take. Therefore its users should be given every opportunity to protect themselves.

So if you feel the need to protect your assets... please do.

If you feel the need to share, again please do...with the knowledge that once you do, its very hard to take it back.

  • It will be Construct Classic only for this one. We'll see if C2 gets more plugins for the next comp.

I'll need the .exe and .cap to make sure there's only 1 layout.

I'll add these details to the main post.

Ahh, well I guess I'm out.

If it was just exe, that would be fine, but I don't agree to the addition of the cap for the rule of one layout.

I don't really get the rule, and besides if you don't have all the plugs used you wouldn't be able to open it any way.

Too bad had a "swell" idea for a game.

  • Speaking of "winning", and "tiger blood",... er I mean pseudo code.

Do the games have to be in cap form, or exe?

    Or for that matter CC,C2....

  • This is just a quick example of how to pull a phrase out of an array via collisions and a pv.

  • Nice idea, Ugly duckling= Flying pig.

  • Random is zero based.

Do you have a layout 0?

  • Yeah "Play time" with saves, and unix time, sounds good.

Unix time with Gridtree could make for some very interesting combination's.

You could basically have a game that plays itself.

  • Edit:, yup^^

"Magic pink" is often used in games to replace an alpha channel, as it is not an often used color.

In Construct this is more or less a vestigial function, since we have full alpha channel support.

    Edit:, yup^^
