So are you saying you didn't create the game you are selling?

  • No, no, not the graphics.

Im asking if the code used to make the game play for Ninja Spider was from the Ropey Ninja.

Obviously the mechanics from the game you just linked are much different.

  • Congratulations.

Was this based on Ropey Ninja from the Scirra store?

    Help yourself.

It's been said that a Scirra based cordova exporter is in the works, and that there should be a version for C2, and while it is a pain in the **** it is still totally possible to export on your own. If you check out the current C3 editor you can see that they at least have started working on the cloud export.

So it's either do it yourself, or wait for that.

As to selling to third parties, obviously it is doable, as you've done that already.

If you were actually interested in fixing the issues you would do what any of us would have to do, and create a minimal capx that shows the issue, and submit a bug report.

Surely you are experienced enough after all these years to replicate the issue in a way that does not violate any nda's.

As to practical uses of C2 I'm surprised not to see more people using it to make ads.

Html5 is replacing flash, and C2 is almost the perfect tool for presentations.

Add vector support, and it would be.

So is the topic "Current Status/Practical Uses of Construct2", or "I can't export to mobile"?

  • There's no way to tell anything without a capx, and crashes are always bugs.

You know the drill for making bug reports.

  • See the part that says beta?

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • Saving to localstorage may not be asynchronous, but there should be no reason for the process to interfere with frame rate.

It's all about the runtime which is custom for each export.

So while it would be possible to reverse engineer a game, or a save file, it would be just about useless to use to decompile another game.

Other than the acquired experience that is.

If you were to make a setup like C2 it would be easy peasy to do a syntax less blocks system.

A game engine, not so much.

Then there's the editor with all its nuances.

Image editor, layout editor, event editor, etc.

So coding while great to know, can only get you as far as time, and experience will allow.
