When I go to a different part of the menu on my game, and go back, the game automatically plays the song again, even though I don't want this. Any way to fix it? I don't like hearing 2 of the same track playing.
I'm trying to make a fighting game with character select and stage select and up to 4 players that plays like Super Smash Bros. I can make the fighters and stages easily, but how do I make the select screens? How do I make it so where it keeps what fighters are fighting and spawn them on the stage you choose? I could make the stages a clickable button and it goes to that frame but how do I make the fighters? Also, how could I make the higher % = less weight thing like in SSB/SSBM/SSBB? I can figure the rest out, it's just that this is some tough stuff to do.
How do I make the health system stay onscreen and never leave the players sight? I've already made the graphics and an animation for each block of health(uses 5 squares to determine health) but how do I make it stay onscreen? I had the idea to give it movement and make it the same EVERYTHING as the player, but I don't think that'll work correctly.
My system is fine, runs Construct well except on a 100,000 x 100,000 field with a grass texture covering the entire thing I think it's normal.
Now, can anyone just tell me how to do what I asked? I don't want it to be on the same layout.
Yes it lags horribly. I want it to just go to another LAYOUT in the right place(like MM except each scroll is a layout )
I only need this because it's an open world game and Construct lags HORRIFICALLY when I try and do anything in the layout, so I need different layouts for different towns/locations so it isn't laggy and I can actually complete it.(Construct lags, not the game, the game runs fine)
How could I do a thing where like I go to the left and it loads a new layout but you spawn on the right in the right place? My game I'm making requires this, and I don't know how to pull it off. Like the MM games except each screen shift is a layout and it just instantly changes. I need halp.
THANKS GUYS! It's helped tons. I've had to abandon my gun following player idea and just make an Animation of each gun he holds, so I can just switch between animations, set up an "Is animation playing?" condition for each gun and make it shoot at different rates, etc.
Yes I had to abandon the MM Fangame, so I'm working on a Top-Down shooter. Pretty much your character rotates with the Arrow Keys, but you use the mouse to move the gun anywhere around him. I want to make point in the direction of your curson full 360 Degrees, but I can't seem to pull it off. My game is coming across nicely, too.
My Computer was hit by a virus(WinQuake) and I had to reformat. Sorry, I lost it all. I'll restart progress. It's NOT dead.

Even though it's UNFINISHED and just a PLATFORM TEST I'd say that's what I'm using for MM's movement, as there is no Acceleration or Deacceleration(Set them both to 6000, also set air to that too)

Platform Engine is getting better, should I post what I have now?(It's a small square and it has working platforms with simple BG and no music, I think the movement feels MMish, it'd just be a simple test.
