there are no rules, but generally you split up the sprites in such a way so that the seam is very hard to notice, cut up his arm and leave some extra stuff at the back so the sprite wont split.

theres a thread showing aquaria graphics by david in open topic which should help you, look for it, its not that old.

the picture editor recently changed and now you cant colour pick the opacity of a colour anymore, plz reimplement this.

use ripped sprites if you really have to, but theres no use in saying you cant do something if you dont really try. im sure your game is good for a beginner's, but take what you have learned and apply it to something new, im sure there are games youve played and enjoyed in the past, why not model it after them? maybe you like megaman, so make a platforming shooter, maybe you like shootem ups, so make one of those, think. dont say that you cant do something. im sure you have great ideas, find a way to make them a reality, try your hand at graphics and dont say (i cant do it.)

if so its because it glitched while regaining focus or something like that, it happens to me when i stop using construct for a while then open it up from the windows bar.

but thankfully my inteliigence makes up for my extreme lazyness, as is the case with most artist type ppl. we lounge around procrastinating (hehe) and when we finally finish weve done what the average person would have completed in a week, but just at the last minute. amiright???
