  • Sadly not gmwannabe, there is probably a source around for when it was open source.

    However, now it is going to be commercial, this is to keep it viable for the developers to continue with it.

  • I don't think this is good, as it just means more spam posts will be made before these people can put up their spam. One post of links vs 50 posts + the spam post isn't cool.

    For the WoW gold ones, playing WoW to get it is a job in China, so I'm sure they have advertising it as a job. Either that, or they will just write Scirra specific bots.

    IMO, the posts are more hazardous than the profiles. You have to look to find their profile links.

    Edit: Ah, after I a re-read I see that there is no change to whether the URL's can be posted in the topics still.

    Ok, I agree with this change then. That at least stops people from making fake accounts to spam profiles and taking up user names.

  • You can use math to compare the position of the thumb from the base of the "analog stick". If they have their thumb within a certain distance from the centre of the circle, get the force to move with from how far they are from centre, and the angle as the angle between the thumb touch and the centre.

    I only know Construct Classic at the moment, but I think the commands may be similar.

    Condition: If distance(Thumb.X, Thumb.Y, Circle.X, Circle.Y) < CircleRadius

    Action: Force = distance(Thumb.X, Thumb.Y, Circle.X, Circle.Y)

    Angle = angle(Thumb.X, Thumb.Y, Circle.X, Circle.Y)

    (Where Angle and Force are variables, and CircleRadius is Circle.Width / 2)

  • I'm missing the SpriteFont plugin so I can't open it, but a good way to make it smoother is to move it in the direction a small number of pixels (maybe 1?) every X (100?) milliseconds until it is a certain distance from the player.

  • I stumbled upon the Wine database and found that some people have the editor "working" in Linux now (link here). Pretty interesting, although I wonder whether the "Programs in Directx render not display UI obiects" means at runtime or in the editor.

    Even so, it looks like people can at least do some work on their games in Linux now (maybe even on the Pandora? <img src="smileys/smiley17.gif" border="0" align="middle">)
