Why would they be driven off? I still don't understand what's been said which amounts to anything more than a very light hearted joke at worst. People haven't said for example: 'haha women don't play games because they're in the kitchen all the time'. Everything that's been said is in the context of Construct being adapted to fill another market role, which obviously it doesn't need to, that's the point of the joke. Games are frequently marketted towards girls, as are adverts on TV. Does it make the advertisers sexist for playing on things girls/women want?

Make sure their hotspots are relatively in the same location (such as all in the center of each image).

I've used every type of loop very recently in various engines without a hitch; I think it may be your useage .

It just happened because we were bored , we only knew 10 mins before.

It depends if your CPU is capped, as to whether it is affecting performance. You can see in the debugger if it is, under 'CPU waiting'.

Not seen the vids yet but the screengrab is enough.. serial killers usually start with animals and I doubt it would've been long before this idiot killed that cat and moved onto something else. It's good the cat is safe now.. but what about him? He'll get a slap on the wrist. and his daddy will probably make some donation so it's forgotten about..

I'm not convinced you'd ever want to move more than a couple of 512x512 sprites around every frame, so maybe this isn't an accurate test?

Speed testing isn't a generic thing where you can deem one engine faster than another, because they're often optimized to deal with situations that occur in games, not in random tests.
