  • The object pairer is a pretty sweet plugin, and it simplifies some more complex things. The only problem is that there's currently no way to unpair two objects once they've been paired up.

Also, just a quick question: if a paired object gets deleted, does the object it's paired to become unpaired?

  • Why not just stretch the tiledbackground?

But if you're doing something different, you can do an array paste for objects in the layout editor. Just copy an object, right-click the layout, and then click "Array paste". You can set all the options like X and Y spacing, angle, size, and the amount of objects in the window that pops up.

  • Behaviors all have their own sets of actions, conditions, and expressions which you can access through the even sheet editor. For example, if your adding an action for a sprite that has the bone behavior, there will be a tab at the top for actions involving the behavior. That's where you'll find all of the controls like stop animation, play animation, change animation, set animation speed, etc.

  • I hate to rain on everyone's parade, but I wouldn't recommend this if you're working with transparency, because it just doesn't do it, it just replaces the transparency with black.

No, it doesn't. The image import preview displays transparent as black, but the imported images retain the transparency.

  • Thanks! It works but when i shoot at the top of the box it doesnt like "flip" over.

You'd have to apply an angular velocity for that. That would require some fancy math I can't seem to figure up at the moment.

  • Why wouldn't that work? I just ran a test, and it seems to work fine for a full screen blur, if that's what you're trying to do.

  • I think you should just keep the random function the same. I have quite a few things that would be half-broken.

  • Blah, I need to get over my fear of chat rooms.

  • It's the same, actually. sin(Angle) cos(angle) tan(angle)

  • How would that differ from the existing colour filter?

In MegaMan, only certain parts of MegaMan are recolored. Using color filters would change the color of the whole sprite. Of course, you could always split the sprite up into two sprites: one that doesn't get a color filter, and one that does.

  • I don't think color filters effect performance, and since different sprites would take up more VRAM, it would definitely be more efficient to use filters.

  • The motion blur version didn't run very well, but the non-motion blur one ran great. My system has an Athlon 64 2.4GHz CPU, 1.25GB of RAM, and a GeForce 8600gt with 512MB of VRAM.
