  • The problem with doing 'modular parts' or using heaps of sprites to make areas is that it can push up the objectcount to thousands, and I think the objectcount impacts the performance quite a bit from my experience. So I think I'm going to do my levels with unique sprites with a size of 1000x1000 (and invisible solid objects for collisions).

  • The whole game is in the memory.

  • You're pretty much guaranteed for HTML5 games to work on Ouya, since they work well on Nexus 7 which is basically an Ouya in terms of hardware. Ouya is using a Android as well, so people that make android wrappers are almost certainly going to support it eventually.

  • Yeah re-organising events/groups isn't quite there yet, for instance you can't drag a group/event to the bottom of a list within a group without it becoming a subevent, so you have to drag it to the 2nd last event then move the last event above the 2nd last.

    Inserting could be more efficient too. I made a topic about it but it was ignored so I'll state it here again:

    When using this awesome right click menu in the event sheet (by clicking to the side of the sheet), if you insert an event/group it will put it at the bottom of the sheet instead of placing it closest to the mouse position ? which would improve efficiency significantly, since its the best right click menu.

  • Image points can no longer go outside image (for instance -4,-8). This was an awesome feature, and I don't understand why it would be removed when it was so good. Limiting the points to within the image size is limiting the possiblities, it worked perfectly before!

    Many of my images still have points outside the image size, so I can't really touch those images any more :(

  • I'm not interested in achievements or using them in my games, but I think I'd probably put them in anyway because it would be interesting to track statistics of players (like how many get upto a specific level or use a certain feature).

  • Doesn't matter any more, with Steam Greenlight coming out in a month.

  • Duplicating actions & events is a great way to save time when you can use "back" and "next" (bottom right of the window), to quickly change the object you want to apply it to however it doesn't work when you do it with behaviours even if the new object you're trying to apply it to has the same behaviour.

    2. Here I've gone to edit action, then clicked back and selected a new object then gone next again but it hasn't highlighted the action I want (chose the first on the list instead).

    3. Wrong action! Since I gather back/next feature was to save time, you usually do this quickly and sometimes forget to highlight the correction action for behaviour related ones.

    I also have a small feature request that would speed up eventing A LOT!

    Instead of using back/next we could just double click on the object area to quickly open a window with the objects, so you can assign the action to a different object instead of going back and forth!
