  • I'm told Blender is way behind the other 3D suites, like Max and Lightwave. Is this true? Well, I have started working on my first Blender model, a self replica (body, hair, clothing, etc.): CLICK!

    I quit messing with Construct, because I want my games to be played in Linux as well as Mac and Windows. I have a little experience with Python, because I made some scripts for XBMC on my Xbox. I'm thinking I will make my 2D games in Python, optionally with PyGame, and my 3D work will be in Blender's game engine.

    I tried using Blender (or was it Milk Shape?) a loooooooooong time ago before I had any experience in 3d, but since they are freeware I can only assume the higher end tools are going to have the fancy mesh tools and uv capabilities. I checked out your self and ya that brings back some painful memories...building a human model from scratch...lolol....this girl was my first attempt (I only have this pic which was taken 1/2 through)

    Yeah the Red XIII was sweet, nice shading! I attempted a Ruby Weapon Model but only have access to this pic which was being used to model from.

    LOL that's cool you want to develop for Linux and Mac as well (hey those guys need lovin' too!) and I hope pygame works out for you!

  • in that case you could just delete those cut scene layouts right?

  • What I mean is if you have a company intro screen (Like the Konami one or something) you would be able to copy the layout from one running Construct to another.

    The reason is that if you make really complex title layout(s) you'd have to have a master .cap to start working on your games from, or if you have a game in progress you'd have to reconstruct (lol no pun intendeed) the title layout.

    Also, being able to copy/paste sprites from one running construct to another would be cool.

    The truth is Modo/Zbrush/Mudbox are way to simple to use, lightyears beyond Max. I recall you had some 3d stuff going on, a hand/knife game. What program do you use?
