  • I'm using this for a turn-based strategy game where each combatant will have a randomized "Speed" stat, like Double Battles in Pokemon. I need for the order of actions to start at the fastest combatant and end with the slowest one.

    The issue I'm having is that I want to be able to have several of the same type of enemy sometimes, but with each one having different Speed stats.

    I need to find a way to pick each combatant (most likely through UID) and put their individual Speed into the Array so the data can be sorted and have the actions go in the right order.

    When the player is moving (uses 8Direction) the Run animation stops at the first frame and I am unsure what exactly is preventing it from playing. It is likely something to do with the events involving the attack animation but I have no clue what. (attacking prevents him from moving; the attacking animation is working exactly as intended)

  • You can set the wait command to add to the Damage variable:

    [Space] is Down

    >Every (X) Seconds -> Add (X) To Damage

    Make sure whatever the attack is doesnt reset its damage when the charge is done. If it is a projectile or hitbox you can set it to spawn with its own Damage Variable to whatever the charge amount was

  • you can give them the Solid behavior, just make sure that it is enabled when the game starts.

    Right click on the sprite in the Objects window to find Behaviors and when the little window pops up click the plus sign. Solid behavior should be at the top of the list

  • i know there is no sound, I havent prepared any yet. The issue is that the game is not playable on mobile at all

  • It seems my lack of rep is preventing me from pasting the whole URL. The game is called Omicron X, it's in shooting games. Zenox98 has a working link in his post

    It plays fine on PC, but on mobile devices the title screen is blank white until you tap, and once you start the game, the player and background are missing, and the camera is away from the normal starting point. The capx is available at the link, i just need help figuring this out.

    I really have no idea how to do this. I was trying to use pathfinding, but they either overlapped too much or bumped into each other. "Set position to..." didnt work at all, it just stuck in a line.

  • I just do "What If" scenarios.

    What if Flies couldnt fly?

    What if sharks grew legs?

    What if caterpillars had guns?

    What if hippies were violent?

    Most games start with a "What If" because it helps to disassociate with reality, allowing for unique, over the top games

    Btw, if you use one of those random ideas up there, an honorable mention would be nice

  • give enemies the turret behavior and use the "On Shoot" command. Make them spawn their bullet, it should automatically fire in whatever direction the enemy is facing
