  • The plugin has an action "set epsilon test time", but you can't actually choose the time. How does this even work - am I misunderstanding something?

  • Hey guys,

    I am looking for (an) artist(s) to join me in developing a social deduction game.

    I am a C2 developer with about 4 years of experience with Construct, and the game I'm talking about is based on a popular physical social deduction game. It already exists and has a reasonably-sized community, but is in need of fixing, especially so in terms of art. The future revenue that the game will make will be distributed between the team members (the team is yet to be finalized).

    What I'm looking for is primarily genuine interest in the game. While we're obviously aiming to earn revenue, this should not be your most important motivational factor. Thus, it is a plus if you're interested in and / or familiar with social deduction games in general. Even though I'm not expecting ideal, flawless artwork, your art quality should still be good, as we want the game to have potential in all aspects.

    If you are not an artist, but are interested in helping out another way (C2 development, music composition, community involvement, etc.), feel free to contact me as well.

  • Which scripts exactly fail to load?

    Here are the errors I'm getting in Chrome's console:

    Photon-Javascript_SDK.min.js:3 Mixed Content: The page at '[game URL]' was loaded over HTTPS, but attempted to connect to the insecure WebSocket endpoint 'ws://ns.exitgames.com:9093/'. This request has been blocked; this endpoint must be available over WSS.
    
    Uncaught DOMException: Failed to construct 'WebSocket': An insecure WebSocket connection may not be initiated from a page loaded over HTTPS.
    
    Client: LoadBalancingPeer checkNextState fail: ConnectingToNameServer -> ConnectingToNameServer

    Is there a way to get around this somehow?

  • What you could do is, instead of using global variables, use Photon's property of actor. It is synced between all players in the room automatically.

  • Hello everyone,

    As we all probably know, Construct 2's built-in multiplayer plugin is rather easy to use, but that comes at the cost of it being unreliable and not supported on some major platforms. Thus, I have been looking for alternatives for a while now, and found that Node.js + Socket.io are quite popular for backend in web development. At the same time, I do not want to leave Construct 2 entirely, and the ability to still use it for frontend (and not lose existing code) would be great. All the socket.io plugins I found though are outdated and do not work for me, nor do they have proper documentation. Does anyone happen to know a good, working plugin with documentation, or at least some examples to go off?
