I'm certainly open to the idea, but it'll take me a while to fully comment the laser system.
For now, I'll just say thanks to FoozleCC for the overall algorithm and for pointing out that the Line of Sight behavior has a super-easy-to-use "Cast Ray" action that makes 2-D lasers practically plug-and-play.
Completely unexpected, and yet, a shockingly good fit.
I'm at 48106 piggies on 59-60 FPS. This is a Galaxy Note 9. Important caveats are: 1. I couldn't get the screen to rotate, so it was taking up a small window. 2. This device is very good at battery life, so there's probably a healthy amount of throttling going on.
Oh my gosh! I suggested a z scale! Maybe others did too, but still, a proud moment! I'm on Cloud 9! (and soon to be release 277)

Thanks for the comment. I grew up on Jedi Knight and the such, so inverted just feels natural to me. You could certainly change it back or just make an option, but currently just using free edition, I won't spend the extra events making that happen.
This is super, SUPER good, but I wanted to suggest 3 changes, if that's okay.
1. Set the music to loop.
2. I would get rid of stars and make jump height a function of speed.
3. Clean up the HUD with high-quality sprites for the phone control buttons and either text formatting or replacing your text with sprite text.
Again, awesome game, keep up the good work!
Possibly the best thing I've seen made with Construct. One bug, though: when you respawn after a game over, you lose the ability to shoot.
I love the 3-D on the car and cones!
Aah!!! Good, but gruelingly difficult. Which isn't bad. I just wish I was better... Any chance of more?
Edit: I did find a bug, though. On my way back from getting the key on the second level, I jetpacked into a corner and then got stuck. I could move side to side after that, but not vertically, so I had to restart. Still totally worth it, though.
I was getting the Celeste feel, but I was thinking of another game on the Scirra arcade. Either way, I'll be sure to try out the itch.io build.
