  • I tested with two controllers and both characters are working fine. The movement of the bow on the right character is messed up, but it can still move and jump.

Thank you for testing! Weird that it's not working for me.. did you use two of the same brand controllers? I used a Dualsense PS5 controller, and a XBOX controller. Perhaps I should use two controllers of the same brand?

I was indeed aware of the right bow character being messed up :P Gotta work on that when I've found why it's not working on my side.

  • Try Construct 3

  • Hi,

I'm making a game that supports two controllers, each character will get one of the controllers assigned. Currently the green character (left) is programmed to get controller 0 and the right character should get controller 1.

Currently I only get character one (left) to work when connecting a controller. Could someone maybe take a look?

  • It works great now, thank you! 😃 I would’ve never thought about the collisions being the problem here. Always great to learn something new!

  • Hi,

I've been trying to get my particles to work now for some hours, but can't find a way to get it to work the way I want.

I've made a character with blinking eyes, it's just an animation which consists of multiple sprites. It keeps looping every few seconds. The problem is that I also tried to get some jump particles to work, when the player lands it plays the jump particles (particles 2 in the project).

The way I did this is via the condition "Platform on landed" > Spawn Particles on The Player at the custom ImagePoint that I made in the same animation as the Blink animation. But now every time when my character blinks it activates the jump particles too, while I only want them when I land of course..

Can anyone take a look at my project and give me a workaround?

  • Hi,

I've been working with Construct 3 for a while now, and I actually started learning how to use it because of my interest in isometric games. So far I've made several very small games, one with my own Turn Based system. They're not perfect, but I've just been doing it my way and learned a lot already!

I can't find much on isometric perspective games and Construct 3, no resources so far. So I'm a bit stuck on where to start.. it must be one of the more difficult perspectives in games for sure, but I actually started the whole learning proces because of them.

Can anyone help me, or advice me where to start with isometric games in Construct 3?

  • Hi,

I have followed the following article

    construct.net/en/tutorials/mousemoves-aiming-moving-86

I'm now trying to limit the turret between certain angles.. I'm looking at 30, and -30 degrees. How would I approach this? I tried several things but so far nothing works.

  • I've just tried turning off some settings that could be preventing the Web app from staying logged in, but so far it's not working. When opening the editor in my web browser however it keeps being logged in. It only occurs with the Web App, when closing the app and reopening it its not logged in anymore.

  • IIRC Safari's default settings keep deleting your saved login, which is pretty unhelpful. I think if you change some privacy/tracking settings it should be able to remember it again - perhaps turn off some combination of the settings in the privacy section. Or just use Chrome or Firefox which tend to work better anyway.

Thank you, I'll try changing some settings and report back here if this helped me. But what other problems could I be facing if I continue utilising Safari for C3? Currently it has been my default browser for almost everything, so it'd be my preference to keep using it. But if there's any known issues I could stumble upon I'd like to be prepared and maybe switch to another Web browser purely for C3.

  • Hi there,

I made a web app version of the editor on my Mac, which is also covered here:

    construct.net/en/make-games/manuals/construct-3/getting-started/get-construct-3

But every time I run this app, it keeps logging me out. Which means I need to login every time I open it.

Maybe someone else has had this issue?
