  but i have an idea why don't you put a sprite on the enemy as the range and when the player in that sprite it will shoot and make that sprite with 0 opacity or even you can make it like a light this will be more easier than what you do ^^

  i think you need layers or you can use events to set which layer and button or front like this :

  system:on start of layout --> player or building set layer.

  Behamut , as i said before when the game is just waves and these stuffs you can make what you said (1 layout for each world of waves) and we can do enemies kind,speed,many,attack... all by array , but when he want have many levels that doesn't look the same and has many differences so he do another layout and this is the easiest way to do the games even if its waves game.

  i found a developer on youtube , he made a program that can do pixel art very easy and save them and many good stuffs on Ipad and i wish i can use it ,i think its the best program for pixel i ever see but he didn't name it yet :(

  basti , hmm i never tried cocoonjs because i don't have android yet but i think texts work on it because there is a video shows fps on cocoonjs launcher .
