  • I am working on a platform but have come across a small problem with fall damage.

    this is my capx:

this works great when falling onto a normal platform, but does not work on moving platforms. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

  • thanks for the feedback, I will look into changing the colour to something more pastal

  • Riki`s first adventure finds him far from home. He wakes up in "Ladybug Meadows", which is on the wrong side of "The Jagged Peak" mountain, He has no idea how he has got there, all he knows is that he has to get home to his wife and cub. It is up to you to help Riki Get home. your journey will take you from rolling meadows, through spider infested tunnels, a haunted castle, enchanted forests, across the wetlands to the "Oakwood" of home.

The Adventures of Riki Raccoon is a series of platform games set for release on Android devices.

The work I have done so far has been done on the free version of Construct 2

You can try an early version of level 1 at http://zordorkproductions.com/riki

You can follow the development of the game on my facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/rikiraccon

You can support this project by helping me raise funds to purchase a full copy of Construct 2 at my indiegogo campaign: https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/riki-raccoon--2#home

Please take a look a give me some feedback

  • I was just wondering if the script for the arcade was written by scirra or are they using a 3rd party script, and if so whos?

  • I have searched the forums, and found a lot of post regarding this, and I did indeed post a comment on one of them, and was told off for reserecting an old topic. Do you actually think that this is a good way to encourage and keep new members?

from searching these forums as you suggested I found a lot of people have an issue with the rep system, but their opinions are brushed aside and ignored, or they are just shouted down

  • Dave

thanks for picking up the typos, theses will be rectified.

when you say the touch controls were a bit fiddly, do you mean the layout of them? would they be better in a different order or a different shape, perhaps mimicking a d-pad. I don't use a touch device, so any input from you would be very valuable.

  • here is a tutorial i made for you:

  • personally I find it very annoying that new(ish) user cant have clickable links, and other users have to copy and paste links to get to demos, capx files etc. I also think that this makes the forum look unprofessional. I do on the other hand understand the need to have a system to stop spammers.

There is a soulation that I have seen on many forums, and also used myself. This is to have a forum called "introduce yourselves" (I know we have a thread, but it should be a forum). When a new user signs up, all forum features, apart from reading are disabled, however the "introduce yourselves" forum is fully functional, in other words a new user must post in the "introduce yourself" before they can do anything else. this forum needs to be monitored. after the new users post has been approved by a moderator then unrestricted access to the rest of the forum is granted

  • I was merely making a serious point in a joking way, I in no way was trying to upset anyone. I am sorry you misunderstood my intent

  • most of the graphics are my own, but I also have edited a couple of royalty free images to make them match the game
