  • I am confident that paths will be added in the future as they are such a useful feature and as stated previously are a very much requested addition for those who are used to Game Maker and other similar tools.

  • I agree, this would be a handy addition to have.

  • Hi Draspur, despite your points, all of which are valid, I still stand by my view that C2 is the best all in one `2D` solution for your money.

I have tried each of the tools that you have mentioned over the years and despite each having their own individual strengths none of them allow me to create a 2D game with the ease and finesse as C2.

  • I just wanted to agree with what has already been said above. For what you are actually getting for your money, compared to the competition and the outstanding quality and support that Scirra provide, you really cannot get a better product for your money.

I would also like to add that Scirra have always been really fair with announcing when they are going to increase their prices to give potential buyers a chance to get a good deal which is something that most other companies would not do.

At the end of the day I`m sure that they have reduced their prices as much as they possibly can for the end user but they also need to make a living, it`s really a lot of work to make something as great as C2.

I`m just really thankful that C2 exists and that Ashley and Tom are such great guys.

  • Thanks Ashley, you`re correct of course :)

May I ask why the project needs to be reopened for this to take effect?

Thanks again for pointing me in the right direction, most appreciated.

  • Hello, just wanted to ask, is it possible to turn off the pixel blurring that happens to my nice crisp pixel art when it is in the C2 editor? At runtime it works fine as I toggle the relevant option (sampling if I recall) but this seems to have no effect in the editor.

Could this be added if it is not possible?

    Thanks for reading.

Sorry, forgot to mention that the image is crisp until scaled or rotated. It would be nice if it could retain it`s sharpness at all times.

  • I really hope that you can implement these features in the future Ashley as they would be a great addition in the sound department. So many possibilities...

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads

Is it just me or is sound playing incorrectly again in Firefox 15.0.1? Everything is crackly\stuttering, especially music.

Chrome is working well as usual.

Every game is ruined for me in the Arcade because of this. How annoying!

BTW, I realise that this is probably nothing to do with C2, just wanted to see if others are having the same problem.

Could put off potential buyers if they are getting the same problem.

  • This looks awesome! I was actually going to suggest adding some sort of capability to C2 to allow for these sort of animations. Hopefully it will live up to its potential and could be just what C2 needs in the animation department. I know from experience that these things are not easy to make but this will definitely benefit all of us.

Please keep up the great work. BTW, how much do you estimate the program that produces these animations will cost? Is it $25 for the editor plus plug-ins at an extra cost? Also, by very soon, do you expect a pre-Christmas release?

Thanks for reading. And thanks for making a great tool! Cannot wait to try it. This could be a brilliant addition to C2 if done right.

  • I am trying to recommend C2 to as many friends as possible as it is such a great product but they always say, that being complete beginners to game making, that they will find it way too tough to learn despite my efforts to prove otherwise.

So, just out of interest, are there any complete beginners reading who have managed to create something in the Arcade that I can point my friends to?

As I have previous experience I do not qualify but it would be interesting to hear from a complete novice who has created something that they never thought would be possible before they tried C2.

    Thanks for reading.

  • I`ve been using Construct 2 for a while now and never got around to posting here so I just wanted to say "hello" to everyone.

I`ve been into game making for a long time now but always found that programming killed my creativity, art is my passion. I always wanted a tool that would allow me to make professional looking games without having to get too technical. Thankfully, that is now a reality and game making can finally be fun again.

  • Hello, can I just ask, are true fluid physics planned in a future update of Construct 2? I see that GameMaker Studio has them, see here.

    youtube.com/watch

It would be cool to see our favourite program support this feature too.

Also, is it possible to simulate reverse gravity for things like balloons already in C2 whilst still maintaining normal gravity for other objects.

    Thanks for reading.

    Jason.

  • I get a constant 60 fps in FF but there is a slight stutter once in a while that I do not get in Chrome or IE.

The games run excellently but it is a minor annoyance.

  • Hi all,

I just wanted to ask, to anyone using Firefox, do you get a silky smooth framerate? In both IE and Chrome my C2 games run flawlessly but still FF seems to have a slight stutter.

Anyone else get this or is it just me? All drivers are up to date.

    Thanks for reading.

  • No problem, thank you for the great work that you do.
