  • Is there a way to make your animation use the flashing behavior. Currently every time I try to make my animation flash it just turns the animation invisible. I am trying to get it where when the player is hit he will flash

    (meaning he can not take damage) but he has animations so when he does flash he just disappears until the flashing is done.

  • hmmmm, interesting. So i could make a layout for global sprites and put all of them in there, including my HUD?

  • I am making a top-down Zelda like game and I am at the point where I want to add more dungeons/levels. I am unsure if I should just put all the levels on one Huge layout and just have the player warp to the other areas or if I should duplicate my first level layout and make a new Level from that?

    I know that duplicating the layout means that anything I create in one level that I want the have in the other level, needs to be duplicating as well, but that seems like I would be making everything twice.

    How I have it right now is that you can go to the other levels by going through a portal, but if you got a item on the first layout and it is not on the 2nd layout you lose it.

  • Can't wait to play it. It looks great. I have been working on a mega man like platformer myself. Do not have the artistic skill like you though so my game is just a random compile of images so far, but I got the game's core mechanics down and a playable first level.

  • For flying enemies you could give them the bullet behavior and set the angle to the player every 0.5 sec and you could use able them until the player can see them this way they are just sitting still until needed.

    You could also use the bullet behavior for waling enemies as well just have them run between 2 checkpoints.

  • I bet you did not put it in the small box that is your game screen. You need to make sure your text is in the top left side of the screen. Since you screen will not scroll when you set it's parallax to 0,0

  • idk, maybe make it where your speed increases the more coins you get. Or maybe you could add power ups that let you jump higher or destroy enemies/objects in your way. Maybe you could add enemies, platforms that are destroyed after you jump on them, platforms the make you jump higher or lower. You want to make it where the player wants to play your game and make it feel like the accomplish something.
