  • Sorry, but it wasn't quite what I looking for.

I want to have it so that when the player moves, the objects following him must follow the same path the player moved.

For example, if the player moves in a circle or in random directions, the options must strictly follow the exact path he went in.

Also, I want to create something similar to the options from Gradius, but I don't know how to make the options follow the path the player is moving.

  • Can you send me a copy of the music? :P

  • How did you make the music for this game?

  • Here's my first attempt at making a shmup. I think it looks pretty good seeing how I've only been using Construct 2 for a couple of days so far.

This is just a test to see if I could make the elements of shmup like bullet spreads, changing backgrounds, destructible bullets, etc.

The spinning ball to the right is called the "Seeker". You can shoot it, but it will not die.

Press 1 to fire a spread of 5 destructable bullets.

Press 2 to fire 2 homing missiles.

Press 3 to fire a spread of 5 indestructable bullets.

(Admittedly, the "3D" Background could have been better animated... :P)

    Try it out HERE!

Tell me what you think of it! :D

  • I think I worded that wrong. :P

I meant, is there a way I can delete the particle object without the smoke trail disappearing immediately?

  • Thanks!

Is there a way I can delete the particle object without causing all of the particles onscreen to disappear immediately?

  • I'm trying to make a missile that uses a particle smoke trail.

So far, the game creates the missile sprite and pins a smoke trail to it, but when the missile is deleted, the particle stays where it is.

How do I delete the particle object?

Or is there a way I can group several objects into one object, so I spawn and destroy them all at once?

  • I don't see anything in the flash behavior. Did I miss something?

  • Is there a way I can do this without recoloring sprites in photoshop?

  • I'm trying to make an enemy flash bright red when it is shot at by the player, but I'm not sure how to do this.

    Can anyone tell me how?

  • I am new to the forums and Construct 2, so I don't know if this is a dumb question. :P

I'm trying to make a horizontal space shooter, and I want to make an distortion effect similar to the background in this video.

Is there a way I can do this, or is this too advanced for a beginner?
