  • I'm not overly familiar with all the effects. Have you experimented with the built-in effects?

There is also this list of effects from the Effects forum that may have what you require.

If not, you could make a request in the What shader effects do you want? section.

  • Do you realize that this is for the now dead Construct Classic, and not Construct 2?

Ok so it mostly works but after I shoot my gun 10 times and it stops for 8 seconds then the bar won't go down untill like 5 seconds after it resets. Please help I do not understand.

Why are you using such an extremely old version of C2? Version 173 that you are using is from June 2014.

Update to at least the latest stable - r212.2 available HERE - and retest. Many bugs have been remedied since that version.

  • Unfortunately I don't have Win 10 and Edge so cannot test but would you be able to provide a .capx or external link for others to also test for you?

Are their any errors showing in the browser console?

Have you installed any addons to Edge, and if so, have you tried with addons disabled?

What version of C2 are you using?

  • If you just set it to 'Browser.ExecJS("Date()")' you'll then see why the statement is showing text (for me, it shows 'Wed Oct 07 2015 18:25:03 GMT+0100 (GMT Standard Time)' therefore the last 4 characters are 'ime)')

If the format of the returned date is consistant, then you could try:

    mid(Browser.ExecJS("Date()"),11,4)

which for me shows just the yesr.

  • Thank you, tulamide.

  • C2 image editor does allow you to fill in alpha, so if you have already imported your graphics, you could just open the graphics in the C2 editor, select the fill tool and set Alpha to 0. Click on area to set transparent.

Remember to set the Alpha back to 255 when finished.

  • Without seeing the (required) .capx, and precise steps to create the problem, there is probably little anyone can do to help, unfortunately.

Just from the screenshots, I would say you may have to use an autosave or backup file, which should be available in the project location. Just rename the suffix of the most recent from .autosave or .backup to .capx.

  • Would really need to see the .capx (as required) but from a quick Google search, it could be something in your events that is causing an infinite loop.

Hard to say with any certainty unless we can see what you've done. What does it show in debug?

  • Thanks, Ashley.

My honour to help in any way I can.

Great news. Congrats.... err, I think... lol.

Couldn't think of anyone better to step into those shoes.

Stop it, you're making me blush.....

  • Gigatron - way cool.

    Blast from the past!

I use to play this in pubs in the 80s

Actually still shows that classic addicative quality of playability.

  • GPU is pretty important.

    What's the Make/Model No.?
