If you have a licensed version of C2, then you can create a standalone .exe by selecting the 'Export' option under the Desktop heading called 'NW.js'.

This thread is nearly 4 years old.

It would probably be better if you post any questions you have in the 'How Do I' section.

  • Bioniclekolacz

This is a very old thread you've bumbed and the person you are quoting hasn't been here for quite a while.

    Not a problem.

But please consider posting in the 'How Do I' section from now on so that we can test things for you. That way, we can determine if it really is a bug that needs submitting.

  • Your bug report doesn't follow the bug reporting guidelines, so will likely be closed automatically by Ashley unless you remedy.

Just saying your game doesn't work on an external site is not proof that C2 is the problem.

Firstly, have you tried exporting using the latest version of C2?

Does your exported HTLM game work from other hosting sites such as Dropbox? If so then it can't be a problem with C2.

What, if any, error messages are shown in the browser console?

This is the 'Closed Bug' section and you should not be posting questions here.

If you need help, please post your question in the 'How Do I' section, giving as much detail as you can. Including a .capx will generally help with a much quicker response.

  • Out of interest, did you do a full, clean re-installation?

I just reinstalled r214, and checked after uninstalling to ensure the 'Tools' folder was empty, before reinstalling, and it definititely installed 'pngout' as well as the other tools.

mystazsea hasn't been on this forum for over 6 months and hasn't posted for over 10 months, so you're request may go unaswered.

Hopefully, someone else may still have the file, but it was over a year ago.

I have r214 installed and I have both pngcrush and pngout installed in their own folders off 'C:\Program Files\Construct 2\exporters\html5\tools'.

    Please don't multi-post - it's frowned upon.

Your identical post in the 'How Do I' section is the best place for such questions, so I'll close and lock this thread.

Is the following attached file what you are after?

    Gun angle test

Please don't multi-post, as this is frowned upon.

You already have an open bug report with this isue and as it says in the bug reporting guidelines, it can take a few weeks for Ashley to get around to fully investigate bug reports.

    Please have patience.

Locking, as already an open report.

  • Posting your .capx would enable a much better response from this forums helpful users. It allows us to see exactly what the problem could be.

Why have you started a new thread when there is already a thread asking the same question HERE?

Please just use the one thread and bump/edit/new post as required.

  • Here is a quote from Ashleys article on Performance Tips:

[quote:20qhpj29]Number of layers usually has no effect, unless most of the layers have changed their opacity, have effects applied, have a blend mode other than 'Normal', or use 'force own texture'. However typically there is no performance impact from using multiple layers with default settings.

So if you are really seeing such a performance drop, it might be worthwhile posting a minimal bug report showing the before and after .capx.
