  • You are using a very old version of C2 - r190. I recommend updating to at least the latest stable - r212.2 - to ensure you don't encounter bugs that have already been fixed.

    This problem is to do with a cascaid runaway event - Event 55. Disable this and it will preview.

    I think this thread has run it's course so locking.

  • Unfortunately your answer still isn't clear.

    Are you saying you have added a Sprite Object and are using that as your button? If so, the standard Mouse Object or Touch Object events would handle the click.

    If you used the actual Button Object, then you must use the Button Object's own events.

    The quickest way to resolve this would be for you to save your project as a single .capx file and upload it here, via one of the many free hosting companies such as Dropbox.

    What version of C2?

    Are you certain you used the 'Export to Scirra Arcade' option?

    What is the exact error messages that you receive?

  • Did you use a Sprite as your button or the actual Button object?

    If you used the Button object, then you would need to use it's own 'On Clicked' condition.

    The zip files contain the registered assets, so you can place them wherever you want. Just unzip them to a folder of your choice.

    It is usually preferable to use the 'User' folder of the logged in user.

    For instance: I have a 'Construct2' folder off my 'User' path, and I have a folder called 'Assets'. I unzipped the file inside this 'Assets' folder.

    I'm writing a tool (deploying with NW.js) and want to let a user attach an external file. It appears that I can do this with "NW.js: Run file" but when I trigger it, nothing ever comes up.

    Is there some sort of limitation to this? Or a way to get it to work?

    What do you mean by attach a file?

    If you look at THIS you will see I have an example that browses for a file then executes it. It obviously relies on the fact that the PC has the correct file associations setup.

    Do you make sure to check that your current score is > highscore before setting the new highscore and saving it?

  • You can also use the NW.js file actions to browse for a file, and as long as the file associations are setup - i.e. there are programs to handle xls and pdf files installed on the system - then NW.js will launch the relevant application after a file is selected.

    Eample attached (requires r212 or above): Launch File from NW.js.

    As soon as you have earned over $5000 in revenue, then you will need a business license - Using a License.
