    Hi My name is Rebecca Lenox,and I teach math in a high school in Virginia, United States. I am hoping to learn how to use Construct2 to build some interactive practice for some of the topics I cover in class. I'm also hoping I can interest some of my students in learning to code through doing this.

    I can thoroughly recommend to everyone the rather excellent educational mathematics games created by Mrs. Lennox that are currently available in the Arcade.

    This is covered in THIS section of the Manual, specifically the part with the heading "The license file: c2license.txt".

    Basically either place it in the C2 installation directory, or put it anywhere and use the 'About' box and just browse to it's location to select the license using the 'Load license file' icon.

    I just bought a personnal license of Construct 2 but I don't know how to use it....

    When I click on DOWNLOAD, it only dowload a text file "c2license.txt"

    What I am supposed to do now ????

  • The built-in template 'Line of Sight' would probably help you, and used in combination with the Distance Expression to work out if a sprite is within a certain distance, you have the basics of a simple AI.

    Settings OK. No errors - just nothing.

    It could be my GTX 970.

    Gigatron had to amend some of his shaders before they would work on it previously, so it may be the same situation here.

    Doesn't work from NWjs.UserFolder, either. This is most bothersome.

    Most bothersome indeed.

    I just tested using latest r218 and NWjs alpha7 and it worked for me.

    Set a variable(fpath) to an mp4 file off Userfolder, then called runfile:

    On Button Clicked - NWjs Run NWjs.UserFolder&fpath[/code:vq2zeec4]

It accessed the mp4 and ran it's associated launch program (Vlc).

Is this the type of thing you were attempting?

    Can't seem to see anything with your last example.

    Tried applying to both a sprite and a Layout, with numerous combinations of values for coef and width/height, but still nothing.

    Now I feel dumb again

  • You do not have permission to view this post

  • Two possibilities:

    1. Just destroy the sprite on Layout Start

    2. Have a separate Layout just for graphics, therefore they are always available to the project.
