getting the same errro but cant able to find the solution and updating drivers wont works for me

    what to do ?

Don't post in the closed bug section.

First place to post is the Construct 2 'How Do I' section, or if you think you have found a bug in Construct 2 (which this type of report never is) then post a new bug report following all of the Bug Reporting Requirements.

This is spamming. Please stop multiposting the same post in different sections. I've deleted the posts.

The store is the correct section.

  • Hi how I can use swf in construct2

Sorry - C2 doesn't support swf and never will.

You can bypass the .capx posting restriction by simply inserting an extra character or two, e.g.

    ht*tp://*www.mysite.com/mygame.capx
    [/code:ox8qdbr1]
  • ok sorry my point was a question as I had looked up images and memory but did not look up deleting images. I can delete this post or maybe tis easier for you to.

No need to delete - nothing wrong with your post

It's a useful post that is informative for other users who may also be unsure of how C2 works, especially around the idea of 'Instances' and 'Objects', which can take a while to get your head around.

  • Hi,

My project appeared to be have a heavy download size so I experimented with deleting images and cut it down to the bare minimum but it was still high. I then found that although I had deleted sprite objects from the layouts they were still held in the project object list and had to be deleted from there as well.

    I don't understand your point.

This is covered in the Manual:

    [quote:1xvph6nn]Deleting objects

Deleting from the Layout View will not remove an object from the project completely. The only way to fully remove an entire object type from the project is to delete it from the Project Bar.

  • > Yes. Right click > Properties > Rename is to (projectname).capx (remove the .autosave part.)

    >

Yes, I tried it. But construct 2 gives the following error: Unable to open <File Path> for unzipping.

    What about your Backup Files?

It's possible the autosave is also corrupt, so try the same thing on a .backup file.

  • Is there any way to slow down collision detection in C2?

The reason I ask is because I have an animated sprite that triggers a collision with the 'player' every time the frame changes. Can I slow this down in any way?

This is why the tutorials from Ashley recommend using a single frame dummy sprite for collisions and behaviors and pinning the animations to this sprite.

Why did you create a new thread exactly the same as this?

Please don't. That is multiposting and is not allowed. This thread is active.

  • I have the licence for construct 2 and when i launch it from desktop works fine but when i launch through steam it loads free version how do i launch my full version from steam?

If you bought a license from the store here, then you are licensed for the non-steam version only.

Conversely - if you bought a Steam license, then licensing is dealt with by them and you would not be licensed for the standalone version that is downloadable from here.

The 2 versions are not interchangeable. A licensed version of one version doesn't allow you to have a licensed version of the other.

  • Bump

    Too much guesswork.

This is why we always suggest providing a .capx that highlights your problem so that those willing to help can see the problem for themselves. It makes helping a user so much easier and quicker.

  • I can't see a way to edit a tutorial I wrote, is it possible?

There is an 'Edit this tutorial' link top left.

What happens when you click on this?
