Here's a (static, for now) preview of two wizard characters I'll be including in pack 1:

  • EyeHawk absolutely! I was planning to include a few basic enemies in pack 1, and then in the future do a pack dedicated to monsters/enemies.

  • Is anybody interested in the idea of these packs?

  • The fruits of labour over the last few days is starting to pay off. There is now a working inventory with switchable weapons, and a lot of the under-the-hood stuff has been revamped with the new 'Functions' object.

The player character needs animations for combat now. What you can see in the gif below is the inventory, and the kunai weapon along with the short-sword weapon. For now there is no short-sword animation for the player character, but I'll get that done in the next few days hopefully. The sword slash effect you can see is scaled depending on the 'Range' stat of the weapon being used. In this example it is the short-sword, so the effect is quite small.

  • Is anybody experiencing any issues with this preview (as far as the initial preloading goes, not the gameplay itself)?

  • Sounds good, I'll be following Dream Enders since I'm keen to see where you go with it.

  • To me, the Legend of Zelda games are heavily action adventure with a light dusting of RPG elements. To be fair, Dungeon Buster isn't that much different in terms of gameplay mechanics, but I intend to have a more involved story that's character driven than plot driven.

Not to offend you, but I don't want to compete, that's not what I'm making Dungeon Buster for. I'd much rather share our experiences crafting our games in Construct 2.
