  • It costs $25 to put your app on the Google Play store. In order to begin putting it on the Google Play store, I recommend going to the Google Play Developer Console and getting started there.

  • So, I'm using a Sprite Font to keep track of my score since I want to use my own personal text choice. The sprite font is being used to keep track of the player's score but when the player's score gets into the 1,000s, 100,000, and beyond I want it to make the comma where it belongs. How do I do this?

  • Hey there, could you please provide a CAPX? I know it says what to do right there, but I'm still confused....

  • Also, here's an image of the error. It appears as soon as I press the Canvas+ button to launch it.

  • Try Construct 3

  • Please, provide the zip file. We can't reproduce it.

Hey there, I'm going to PM you the ZIP via Dropbox. Since I do not want my game out there. Thanks for your assistance.

  • Finally at the music portion of my game, woohoo!

So this has to do with the menu part of my game. Since my music starts at the start screen and the play presses buttons to lead to another layout but it's still in Menu mode and the same music should be playing. The problem is that when I go to another layout, the music restarts. How do I keep the music keep going into the next layout? The music doesn't always start at the beginning of the start screen either, the player can press the game selection options button, which is part of the Menu interface and the Menu music should start playing then and continue if the player were to press back and go to different Menu layouts.

  • It may be a bug. You can always try posting a bug report with your CAPX and repro steps on the bugs forum. If you go that route, strip down the file to be as simple as possible while still showing the issue -- no third party effects or plugins, that kind of thing.

Eh....... It's honestly not that major. If it's a bug, I'll just update with the next stable release. Thanks for the explanation though, just wanted to make sure it really wasn't my fault. I'll keep the bug reporting in mind, though.

  • So I usually right click on C2, on my Toolbar to open up my lastest CAPX, but this time, this happened.

    What does mean?

When I open Construct 2 and THEN load my Capx, it loads my project just like normal. anyways to fix this? I can open up my file but it's just a bit tedious.

  • Hey there, I think we may have the same problem. I posted a similar topic, about a day ago. Is this a Uncompressing Error? What device are you testing it on?

    error-within-cocoonjs-app-launcher_t150166

The above is my post. For me the error is appearing on Android Devices.

This is my post on Ludei's website:

    http://support.ludei.com/hc/communities ... ZIP-Folder

They seem to be responding well and hopefully we'll reach a solution soon.....

  • Hey guys,

So I usually use the CocoonJS App Launcher to test my game. I select the CocoonJS export option, acquire the ZIP folder and put it on my phone. Then I put it on my phone and launch it via Canvas+. Two days an "Uncompressing Error" occurs and this goes for all my files. I can't open any files, meaning I can't test my game at all. This is happening on Android Devices, as far as I've tested. Can anyone else test this case as well? Files are opening just fine, on iOS devices though.

I am receiving assistance on this by Ludei on their website but I still think it's relevant to state this problem on here. Since I'm using Construct 2 for testing on the Launcher. So basically, I wanna see if this happens on other devices. Mostly Android but if you guys can test it on iOS devices and see if this error pops up, that'd be great. Of course with your own games, though.

  • Sounds Good! I'll PM you.

  • Hey there Gideon. A friend and I are planning to establish a LLC, to release our new game. Since it has IAP. It's really nothing that serious and we know that but would you be willing to create a logo for us? We've already got a name for our LLC and a idea for the logo.

I'll of course show you the game too.

  • The first answer anyone will give for this question is: "It depends on your design"

This is because it does. What do you hope to accomplish with Construct 2? Meaning what do you plan to build with this tool based on what you've read.

    Now that that's done.

The main thing with HTML5 and Construct 2 is that performance of games will get better the more time goes on, since phones will become much stronger and the limits will be less prevalent. With my experience, mobile performance with Construct 2 has been good. I'm currently developing a twin stick shooter and there's quite a lot of enemies on screen and I've tested the game on about 20 devices so far. All of them were in the range of 50-60. Except my Galaxy Tablet (THIS THING SUCKS). I'm not supporting Construct 2 though, you NEED to be smart, clever, and skilled in order to have a good experience with mobile.

If you want to get an idea on how the performance is, you can send me a CAPX file of what you'd like to test and I can send you a ZIP Folder by exporting through CocoonJS. With the ZIP Folder, you can launch the game via the CocoonJS App Launcher.

  • Game has changed quite a bit, making another post....
