  • Still trying to figure out if people actually liked the game or just downloaded it because it was well known.

I've been gaming forever, all kinds of games too. I gotta say, Flappy Bird was one of the worst games I ever played. It had a couple of nice design features to it like one finger to play, fast load time, and decent graphics, but that is it. The play was awful and downright repetitive-too boring too fast. I mean, other than a high score, what payoff did it give you as a gamer? Just about every game has a highscore, so really, I just think the game was full of hype and no substance whatsoever.

  • Sure you don't want to give the Enemy a Behavior of Pathfinding?

You can always add code to that and select that the Pathfinding behavior not rotate from the Properties window.

  • Are you saying you want the images of the cards to be pulled from somewhere like an image website?

  • Well, first off do you want to reference those locations "areashrink" by coordinates or by object (say an invisible square)?

On the actions side you can have an object spawn an object or you can do an action where the system creates an object at a coordinate, then under that action select the object type and set scale.

  • I thought it was a free game

That is part of the beauty of it!

  • Did you give the turret the behavior "PIN" and then pin it to the tank body?

I would also put both of them in a container so that both are created/destroyed and such together.

  • Try Construct 3

  • Because the guy who did Flappy Bird said he was making $50,000 a day from the game...

  • Uhm, what do you mean by loop over and over?

Is there a reason why you don't want it to wrap?

  • will this work for you?

having your player on a different layer, add an event and action

System/Every Tick || System/Scroll to Object (pick the player as the Object)

  • That can certainly be done. Easily. The only hard thing to do with C2 is 3D...I said hard, not impossible!

  • So what do want to happen when the turret hits the wall and what kind of movement is it doing now?

  • Think of it this way:

You can just rotate the background or choose to rotate a particular layer if you really wish.

Sounds like you want to rotate a layer or more.

    To do this:

Event: Pick an Event, whatever will trigger your event.

Action: Pick the system object and "set layer angle".

Now when you do that special event, whatever is on that particular layer you picked should rotate. Of course your player can be on a separate layer so the player doesn't rotate.

  • I'm sorry, are you asking how do you make an enemy chase a player?

  • Event--->System/pick random BUSH instance

Action--->CHEESE/ (Here is where you can try a few things out that are available and see what works for you. Remember you can use an expression like BUSH.X to get the BUSH's x position and BUSH.Y to get y position.)
