  • Not sure what you mean, but you need, for the time being, to make a sprite OUTSIDE of Construct, then load it into the sprite object using the button(looks folder-ish).

    Said in pehaps a better way:

    1: Make your sprite.

    2:In Contruct make a ingame sprite object by double clicking(or right clicking) and choosing 'sprite'.

    2.1:(If the sprite box doesnt show up, or you already had a sprite object)find and double click the sprite object.

    3:In the pop-up box, press the folder(ish) button, and then choose your sprite image file.

  • Hello forums!

    I'm not exactly new here(have been around since we only had CC, but i figured I may as well make a real introduction.

    My real name is Stian(from norse Stigandr), I'm 16 and from Norway. My english language is therefore not perfect, but I try.

    I have made a few games in CC, and I am working on remaking them in C2. I know alot of stuff (mostly that random crap no one really needs to know<img src="smileys/smiley17.gif" border="0" align="middle" />). In addition to making/playing games I also draw digitally (I am planning on making a cartoon, but I never get myself to start).

    In games i prefer gamepley over graphics, so don't expect too good visuals from my games.

  • That would mean more work for the scirra team. Hmmm... Would they(you if any of you read this) accept "User bundles"? Where we, the users submit graphics for a bundle.

  • ... possible to make a map creator in construct so others can create a map and save it and send it to me?

    I have seen some ways to do this in CC. What you do is basically to give different values to different object that one can place, then save it in a document (txt?)with the relevant data.

    Example:

    Maze Game:

    A map where you have a room, but trough the editor can place 3 objects: Rectangle(can be rotated | or -), start and goal.

    Through the editor you place the start and goal, and the walls(rectangle). When you save the map, the document could be saved like:

    MapName = My Maze          (name, obviously)

    goal = 35,68          (object, coords)

    start = 468,300          (object, coords)

    rectangle = 100,100,2          (object, coords,rotation)

    rectangle = 200,200,2          (object, coords,rotation)

    rectangle = 250,250,1          (object, coords,rotation)

    Here rotation 1 is - and 2 is | or the opposite.

    In other words the document is built up:

    First variables(name, description, High score?)

    Second: Important data(X,Y,additional info)

    Third: Other data(X,Y,Additional info)

    Additional info can be rotation(exact or just state), color, number of pancakes on bunnies head, anything!

    Wrote this in school with crappy computer. Beware of mistypings. If i were unclear somewhere just tell. I'll also probably edit post later.

  • Behaviour: Physics. Can't replicate that easily.

  • May be late, but:

    I would want physics! I love the CC plugin (its pretty much the only one i use). Doesnt need much, yet, but the basics (collisions, gravity, force).

    EDIT: I meant the behaviour, if i wasnt clear enough.

  • http://www.3Drad.com is free. One minus is that you have to wait 3 months before you get the version (one released each month, but non-donators get 3 month old versions)

  • Hey! First i wanna say that i can't script C++, and im not sure if it is right to put the link here or in another part of the forum(or another forum ). (just googled around and stumbled across it)

    I have found this C++ library: http://sourceforge.net/projects/zige/

    As described on sourceforge: [quote:3343hqlp]ZIG is a free, extendable, C/C++ client-server game networking library with lots of helper features. Together with your favourite multimedia library (e.g: Allegro, SDL, OpenGL) you can build a full client/server game or engine.

    I know that Construct plug-ins use C++ so i wonder if someone could make this into a plug-in?

    If that is so, who knows, we might have a networking plug-in soon...

  • I read it all.

    I think the end "better Nate than lever" is a version of "better late than never"

  • Jump sustain timing needs to be added for sustain jump(or else you can only jump 0 millisecs(weakest jump)).

  • Hello! I have just started making a .cap with prototypes of all kinds of games/effects. The only thing i have in it now is Grappling Hook Test.

    I want a rope/chain thingy to Grapple. Much like the blue laser/ghostkiller beam in The Rain(demo section) http://www.scirra.com/construct/demos.php

    How can i do this

    I have played the game but cant figure out how its done without a .cap to show

    Any help would be...helpful.

    EDIT: links dont work

  • Try Construct 3

    Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

    Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • The line is simple : Just make it check "collision" with the castle and have a timer(timer start when no collision and goes for 1 sec or so).

    I am kinda new to construct so i am not really sure if this works...
