  Interesting conundrum! I can't think of a good way to do this, apart from perhaps setting an extremely high rate and speed for an extremely short time at the very start of the layout.

  Rory, I don't think it would speed up loading time, but it will reduce the amount of images stored in the RAM. Basically, you are OK to use hore high-res graphics now.

  Hmm. having block, duck, shooting, and action seems a lot for a player to keep track of. The best games have fewer controls than this.

  GenkiGenga, I have a feeling these Flash people may not be adjusted to HTML5. My game has had more bad reviews mainly regarding lag and whatnot. I guess they expect the game to work on lower quality browers, as Flash games do?

  I don't think Scirra has any plans to stop updating the software - I certainly don't see their todo list getting much smaller!

  I wouldn't hold my breath for either of the features you mention. Both are insanely complex and pretty much unsuited for a program like C2.

  —'s, no, it doesn't really have anything to do with webgl effects. These effects are only a small part of webgl rendering. All the graphics are now loaded dynamically.
